It'll add theater, comedy and adventure to this league. Any volunteers want to streak at games?

The Rapids could use an extra man on the pitch.

    Misses the point.

The Dodger game last night featured some schmuck running towards left field in the 9th inning. Sure enough, the centerfielder caught him and started pounding him. That, of course, gets interest.

What MLS needs is our players doing the same thing. Fans of other sports probably have noticed the difference between soccer and baseball pitch invasions by now.

Any volunteers to be the punching bag?

    Sign me up

I'd like to run out on the field and tackle Kovalenko, but Ray Hudson might sit on me.

There was a streaker at a Clash v. Burn game at Spartan Stadium in 99 I think. It was at halftime and a girls youth team was being honored, and the guy scared the crap out of the girls. It was pretty hilarious. He was probably running around for 2 minutes as security seemed caught off guard.

If they didn't arrest people who did that I would plan a summer tour of every MLS city. Starting with the "grand opening" of Victoria Street.

That makes the point for the question posed by this thread. If we had a few good streakers per season it would help the league in a big way for publicity.
Every supporter group should have a discussion on this issue and nominate someone. Draw straws or something. Do a colection for bail.
How long could the stadium ban be anyway?
Go show that you're a big MLS supporter or perhaps, in need of one.

Surely, there's enough money in MLS's operating budget to hire models who are willing to streak.

Well, let's see, a typical cheerleader gets $50 a game.
I guess you would have to get a significant raise for nudity, so make that $100.
But since streaking requires less skills than dancing, bump it down to $80.
But then, since a streaker is essentially "feature" performance rather than as part of a team, so let's say it's $180.

So according to my scientific formula, a model streaker would cost $180/match.

But they are busty and thus don't provide enough flat surfaces for signage!

    best streak ever?

I was at that game, too. I think it was area youth players (boys/girls in many sports, basketball, football, etc.). The great part about it was that they all lined up single file about 7 yards apart. An announcer began calling out the athlete's names (who would each shyly wave at the crowd). The streaker proceeded to weave in and out of them like cones. He took a leisurely jog. Most of the girl athletes on the field covered their faces in embarassment. Security was totally dumbfounded and they half-heartedly tried to chase him. After a while the guy got tired and walked over to security. They covered him with a blanket and ushered him off the field. In our section, he got a standing ovation. It was a great halftime show; much more exciting than honoring area athletes.
