I hope Arena wasn't trying to "play god" with respect to MLS results this weekend. I notice that both Mathis and Howard are released, but Klein wasn't.

Exactly, and I've been bitching about it everywhere I get a chance. A total crock of S*** if you ask me.

You'd think it'd be the other way around, if anything, considering that Mathis and Howard are almost locks to start and Kleiny is if-y at best.

Damn it, so I'm guessing the New Zealand friendly is going to be kind of like the Wales one: A chance for the guys on the fringe to compete for starting spots on the Confed Cup. I doubt any of the released players play Sunday.

*sigh* I wanted to see a nearly full strength squad go at New Zealand.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see some of them play both, at least a half or so for both...

Anybody know what the sub rule's gonna be for the Nat's game?

There non-released list is a very impressive squad.

Yeah, which is why I said kind of. It's not who most people would pick for starters, but they're probably our B team. At the moment they are, anyways. I wouldn't be suprised to see at least one of them earn some starts after the Confed Cup.

Howard needed to be released considering it could be his last game for the MS.

What does that have to do with anything? Seriously.

All of Kansas City is going to turn out to see the final MLS game of the opposing team's keeper?
