Sargent is such a dumb target for this argument.

He basically didn’t become a goalscorer until the 2022-23 season. Since then, he has like, 300 minutes with the US. A striker going 3-4 games without a goal happens all the time and no one even blinks.

Fans writing him off like this are as bad as the ones who were writing Tillman off before the tournament for his lack of productivity.

Oh, VAR here? Seems like offside was re-set on the header by the defender? I am confused.

Third VAR review of the half in San Jose: gave a penalty, rescinded a red card (different play), pulled a goal back for offside. All correct after the review.

In the 58’ of the first half between PANJAM.

    Only 7’ were added…

This review at the end was a farce. Offside, maybe yes, maybe no. Penalty, probably. In the end the ref says no pen. 16:30 added. But with 5+ added in GLPGUA we’ll see if they kick off at the same time for the second halves.

    They didn’t wait.

Figured something was up when they were through with the highlight package at halftime and said they were still playing the PANJAM match.

Another review here -> penalty to Guadeloupe. 2-1 now.

Jamaica is the most chronically disappointing team in Concacaf.

Ortiz caught a cleat to the face - inadvertent - but he's been down for 7+ of the first 9 minutes of the Canada-El Salvador game.

The way the boots were flying in, someone was going to get sent off in the Canada El Salvador game.

Ortiz sent off for 2nd yellow

Ortiz had a heck of a first half: down for almost ten minutes after the cleat to the head (on a play, I should note, where he committed a foul that led to the boot coming up), bad foul for a yellow, bad foul for a red.

El Salvador seems unlikely to finish with ten.

And now a penalty called against El Salvador but somehow not a yellow (slid in from behind).
