Best I could figure is that Jesse was communicating with the bench somehow, got found out, and went off on the CONCACAF officials.
Dominican Republic and Suriname have some good building blocks to work with for future competitions. If they shore up their defenses and become more polished on their finishes, they could potentially become forces in the Caribbean.
Does it seem like Haiti are getting CONCACAFed? T & T have been surprisingly dull in this tournament, so far.
No kidding...I'm sitting there saying...Somebody, Anybody, Shoot The Damned Ball!!! Then T & T gets out on a nice break, gets off a shot at least, but the accuracy left a lot to be desired. All in all, a fair result, but only because quality finishing was few and far between.
Disappointing that the U.S. is wearing last year's white kits and not the significantly better new white kits. I know when Nike rolled the new kits out there was something about the pinstripes being the Men's kit and the stars being the women's but there was also something about how they would both use both sets eventually.
The announcement was both teams have the stripes as their secondary but the stars kit is women's only.
I don't know what's more disappointing...the drab play by the U.S. or the fact that FS1 keeps buffering periodically, making it tough to watch such herky-jerky action. It did it during the first game tonight too, but not as often as now. Also curious as to why T & T and Haiti played in Houston and not Austin. There certainly are enough empty seats at Q2 Stadium that CONCACAF could have held a double header at either the Houston or Austin venue.
Mostly I've been confused about how Bill Hamid has been playing the field for Saudi Arabia this game.
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/64...n-canada-gold-cup/?source=user_shared_articleWhy Jesse Marsch is under Concacaf investigation and Canada’s response Essentially he was told to be in one suite by a Concacaf official, then told he was in the wrong suite later by a different Concacaf official. He used words after. Thx, Jay!
Not much of a performance by the US vs a team with all the things I hate about playing Panama with none of the skill. Glad we actually got a goal so grabbed the 3 points. Hate to pick on one guy, but Arfsten was poor. If we're going to depend on the LW to start our attack we need to have somebody out there who can control the ball with fewer than 3 touches.
That was a nicely worked corner by Guadeloupe; all of the various parts had to work perfectly. And did. 1-0.
