Respectfully, ******** the Dutch, @Sounders78. Despite a horrible starting lineup and opening half, the US wins at The Hague thanks to a Netherlands brace and actually taking some worthless players out in the second half.
Is it now safe to say that the USA has its first international star (Pulisic)? Or is success in Milan still not enough for such a proclamation?
I’d say uncharted territory for an American so I don’t want to diminish Pulisic. But I think he needs a bit more from a neutral standpoint to be a true international star. League or CL trophy for Milan while keeping up the production. Maybe a return to the EPL and putting up impressive numbers. Or of course join the Fire, win trophies, and cause USMNT only fan meltdowns!
I think at this point he's good enough to dominate MLS even more than Donovan did, but perhaps he has even more? Maybe he can be a true leader on a top 10 worldwide side? Lets see.
Like the Chicago Fire? Sure, we have some improvements, but a top 10 worldwide side? I say, you flatter us, sir!
