It was another stalemate in our previous episode, fans. While our lovable Crew's defenses appear to be impregnable, the attack leaves a lot to be desired. And now comes a force from the capital in red, our oldest rival. They look to finally breach the defenses and hand our heroes their first defeat in months. With the travel to south weighing heavily on our Crew, can they summon the strength necessary to overcome this challenge, or will the cracks in the armor start to tell? will we ever score again? Has our robot's newfound humanity cursed this group?
I'll be there for my first game of the season. Has anything changed in terms of restrictions from last season?
I didn’t attend any games under restriction last year, but the biggest issue for me was the divided stadium. If you have seats on the west side you cannot get to the east side. Also the northwest restroom if for suite holders and staff only.
Is there a way to change your vote in the poll? As The Big Lebowski says...new shit has come to light, man! If so, then I'd like the Swamp Hunters option. If not, then I'm rooting for the Canadian win!
I have purchased 2 seats through the Nordecke site and will be attending with my middle child. The Crew tend to play well when he's present.
Nobody said you HAD to vote before tonights game. Should of waited to vote. In all seriousness, if I leave the option to change votes on, people would be able to change their vote after the match, which could influence the grouchy points.
No worries either way. I usually vote early so I do not forget and rarely do I ever go back and change. This time I learned that nearly the entire DC squad is injured/dead so I do not expect them to even show up and have to forfeit 3-0 triggering the bonus points.
D.C. United injury update:Canouse and Robertha remain out, Hamid and Arriola getting closer to returning but not this weekend, Kamara and DeShields might travel to Columbus. #dcu #mls— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) May 6, 2021
I purchased a set of 4 tix to Saturday’s match, and two people backed out. So I have two tickets in Section 228 Row 4. They were $20 each, and I was hoping to get $20 for the pair. PM me if interested.
Outside of the NYCFC game to start the year, DC hasn't shown much improvement from last year. Crew by 1.
I understand the term is overused, but this is a "must-win game." Mathematically? No. But other than sections of the home match vs. Monterrey, the Crew haven't looked like a championship-caliber team/defending champion thus far in 2021. A "road" draw vs. Montreal is fine. A home draw vs. last season's Supporters Shield winner is acceptable. But, in general, the formula is win at home, draw on the road. And DC isn't a very good team. A solid win at home this weekend, and the entire mood surrounding this club will start to feel more positive. Another stumbling performance, and there will start to be some logical "WTF is going on?" questions asked. By the way, thanks to the soccer gods for scheduling this (and my daughter's prom) on Saturday. Sunny, dry, upper 50's. Sunday (OSU commencement at the Shoe.. ha!), on the other hand...
Update: Looks as though Ola Kamara and rookie Michael DeShields will travel with the team to Columbus after recovering from injuries. #dcu— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) May 7, 2021 Hola, Ola.
