I thought they both had strong first halves, and then were much less effective in their fifteen minutes in half two. But I liked them both.

Gozo needs to keep it simple more often that he is lately.

    Yellow for Junqua?

Edit: went to the CRapids coach.

    Dillon on for Spierings.

We are allowing them into the game here and need something sustained on the other half of the field.

Why can't players just learn to leave the GD ball alone.

See, Olatunji can't just weakly turn the ball over there. 93rd minute, he just needs to get his body between the defender and the ball.

A restart for offside from seven yards into our own half is all kinds of bullshit.

Well done to come from behind and get the win. They've put themselves in sole position of 3rd in the West I believe.

Caught the second half. Some solid play for sure. I have liked the last 2 games as RSL has not parked the bus.

    Kids are really playing well

the pass from sanabria was a thing of beauty.

Booth was not that great going forward.
He was EXCELLENT at defense, disruption, and cutting off passes.

Amazed Spierings got off without a yellow.

    Very physical match.

Guilavogui made a heck of an impact once coming on. Gozo should have passed to him across the goal box instead of shooting on the kinda 1v1 he had with the GK.

Glad and Engel really calmed down our back line in comparison to last game, and Junqua did a decent job subbing in for Engel.

Navarro’s movement off ball and press was really good. He played well enough to score, and are pretty lucky he didn’t cause a goal.

Their #8 is a pretty good shithouser.

All in all, solid performance tonight. Far from perfect, but definitely on the right side of the line to stay top 6 in the West.

I’ve been critical of his play, but for me the motm was caliskan tonight. The dude was everywhere

I meant to mention that too. He was great and his passing was excellent. He earned a great FK just outside the Crapid box late in the game too.

Booth is that guy you hate if he’s on the other team, but you love him on your’s.

Eh, he’s not that annoying. That category is typically for a guy like Beckerman or Chara. Booth is just a kid who works hard. I doubt you’ll hear him get booed much by opposing fans

I love that we have a forward that can actually head a ball. Feels like we haven't had that since Saborio

    In actuality or with rsl?
Speaking of that, Herrera wants out of DC. I wish there was a way to get him here and not rock the boat as I think this system is built for him (and brooks Lennon). But I don’t see that happening either Pablo still in charge

Watching the first half, RSL lucky not to be down 2 goals in the first 25 minutes. Arronson hitting the post and not the ball should have put them up 2. RSL did have that slicing cross through the box and the Gozo rebound to tie it up just earlier.

Nice response this week from RSL after really not playing well in Dallas to get to wins at home.

Credit to the crapids, they’re a fun matchup. Aaronson in particular is a fun counter punch to Gozo.

gotta laugh at the officiating in this one. CRapids ended the game with 3 yellow cards on 8 fouls while rsl was at 2 on 18. Both of those after 80 for some pretty blatant time wasting. I don’t think the ref changed the outcome of the game, but he could have shown multiple rsl players cards earlier than he did. Gozo in particular got away with a shot well after the whistle in the first half

I noticed in the post match nobody asked about Luna. With the game and everything that transpired, I don’t think it was a must ask question. Just curious. Anyone heard anything further?

They showed him sitting in the stands wearing sunglasses at a time when it seemed there was little sunlight.

I forgot to wear my hat to the game. I always take a hat. At night, the lights on the other side are so blaring that it gives me a headache. I managed OK.

I was also worried about me, but I don’t fault anyone for wearing sunglasses at the games to handle the lights.
