Eh...the Tribune never knows what it's talking about. Jaqua's listed as Probable in the game preview on MLSnet. I'd say there's a pretty good chance that he'll play tonight. Maybe not start, but I think we'll see him in at some point.

I think Jaqua's injury may be more severe than originally thought so it probably will be good if he can sit this one out in order to make sure his bone bruise has healed. I'd like to see him in the game but not at the risk of getting injured worse by favoring the current injury.

Leonard Griffin? He must have had the greatest week of practice ever.

Reiter with his second bicycle attempt in his MLS career. 0-2 so far.

Where's Ante Razov when you need him? Fire have more PK attempts than any other team and they've missed what, three? If you're right footed, rifle a shot to the goddamn right! Quick the stupid cross-body shots.

I take it ALL back about letting Reiter taking a PK over Marsch. Ugh telegraphed that one. Man is he ever unimpressive. Herron or Barret would make a much better choice up top.

Oh God no. Why take Rolfe out and not Reiter? Sheesh come on Dave...

Well, an ugly result for an ugly game, but I'll take it. I thought Herron on for Rolfe was stupid, but Andy showed some ok stuff (at least pressuring them when he wasn't blowing two chances at a goal). Barrett didn't do all that much. Reiter...I think the guy just underestimated the talent level in MLS. He really isn't cutting it. Leonard is just a warm body.

We made a 2 or 3 nil game a 1-0 nailbiter. Let Rolfe or Mapp take the PKs so that when we get a freebie, we get something out of it. Herron looks more like a bull in a china shop than a well-skilled player. Let's have Barrett get some more playing time, sit Herron and Reiter, and when Nate gets healthy, keep Rolfe and Jaqua up front the WHOLE game or at least until someone looks gassed. I would not feel too badly about Reiter or Herron for Grabaovoy right now. I like Jim Curtin most of the game, but both he and Marsch had a few brain freezes tonight that fortunately did not cost us but could have just as easily lost the three points for us. Both guys need to focus for an entire 90 minutes or we need to get them off the field.

3 points. They count, despite both teams missing 4+ starters.

Last time I checked, even though the level of play may drop a little, they are still professional players and need to finish their opportunities. The guys who didn't play as well tonight are all former starters either here or internationally. Sorry, but from a coaches point of view, ugly is ugly and we need to improve the quality of our wins. We are moving in the right direction but you still have to wonder about the structure of the lineup and the game plan of attack.

I'll take those 3 points any way they come. We deserved them. We had the run of play for almost the full 90 tonight. As pointed out a few posts ago should've be 2-3 nil. Ugly overall but I'll take it. But if NE would've had Joseph tonight it might've been a little different story.

Telegraphed or not, that wasn't a terrible penalty by any means. It was well-placed and had enough power behind it. I'll take that one over Marsch's from last week any day.

Of course, I'd also prefer them to be scored.

But then again, that WAS a terrible call.

Mapp? For Justin to score, the goal would have to be 15 feet high. Have you seen some of the "row Z" shots he's been firing off this season? Nothing against Justin, he's one of my favorite players, but shooting is about the last thing I would trust him with right now.

Well, it might have been ugly for us, but it was more ugly for the Revs, and that's why we won.

You are right, the coaches will see much to improve upon.

But with these crazy rosters, it's just good to get the points.

We could have easily won 3 or 4 to 0 and were lucky it didn't end in a 1 to 1 tie !!! I will say lucky but happy to get this win.

Segares is the man! Looks like he has more composure in the box than our forwards.

Makes me think, should we test him at D-mid??? He might make an awesome midfielder with the way he can defend and put the ball in the back of the net.
