Worst team in the league: Columbus.

Here is a list of 1-10.

    1) SJ
    2) DC
    3) NE
    4) NY
    5) LA
    6) Colorado
    7) Dallas
    8) Chicago
    9) KC
    10) Columbus

    HOWEVER:
    - This does not take into account the waiver moves that happened the last two days.

In short, I think the Columbus and Chicago D will be awful. NY has a solid defense and great midfield; if they can pick up a striker, they are in good shape. DC is my surprise pick because their centrla defense is very good, and the midfield should be strong as well. Attacking is their weakness, but if Stewart is better and Adu shows up... they obviously have injury issues though with Rimando, Quintinilla, and Quaranta. They are not a very deep team.

KC would be low ranked even if they had Preki.

Yeah, a team that took the MLS Cup champs to overtime on the road in the semifinals was a terrible team last year.

i'm a bit confused about the gentlemen who said that columbus' D will be awful. sure, we still have denton and clark, but hejduk and akwari remain and mccarty and williams have been dropped. plus we picked up arguably the 2 best defenders in the draft. now go ahead and talk about how bad hejduk played and how our defense at the Olympic Qs let in goals galore, fine, point taken. regardless, our defense has improved and our offense has sunk, and we're in for another disappointing year.

i think DC will be much improved now that Hudson, Mullet, and Stoitch are gone. Chicago will be tough as always, they seem to plug and chug talent. NE has an effective cast and system in place, and Bradley's goons can beat up anyone who gets in their way. ovreall, i feel the east is wide open, with chicago and NE as "favorites" with the other 3 right behind.

i'm not going to comment on the west b/c i'd just be speculating. so should i say that i'm among the first on these boards to refrain when i don't know what i'm talking about? ha ha. just my $0.02

So it is written... so it shall be said:

    East:

    1. New England- not to be biased... but who else is good in the east
    2. Chicago- the roster has been raped... but again... who else is there.
    3. DC- Who knows how much freddy will contribute. Will Convey stay there?
    4. Columbus- flip a coin with 2-5.
    5. New York- look up.

    West:

    1. Colorado- If preseason results carry to the regular season.
    2. LA- Steady as she goes.
    3. Dallas- They will make things work at the old Bowl.
    4. San Jose- No Yallop... no Gallop.
    5. Kansas City- Hows the Legs on Prekooo

I don't see any of these teams being very good this year. NEW England has the best chance of running away and Hiding. Along with Colorado in the west.

I see a Colorado New England Final, in New England, to hoist the cup in from of 58,000 fans.
