For a long time in the mid-00s there was an enclave of Crew players & staff in Gahanna. They all lived in middle-class neighborhoods & developments just like normal working people. Shocking, ain't it.
They still do, although maybe not in Gahanna. Our millionaire center back captain lives in my mom's neighborhood, which is an M/I development of new builds in the mid-300's.
You said the following I said the same could be said of the DP rule. Seems clear to me that DP rule also shows investment in player salaries that only benefit a small number of players. I'm not trying to be obtuse or pedantic here. I don't know how much the players are fighting TAM, maybe it's a relatively small bargaining chip, which is fine (or it's fine if that's where they're drawing a line, I may disagree, but i'm not directly effected by it either. But I've not heard of them fighting the DP rule either. Most of these less than max budget salary players also aren't seeing the benefit of GAM either, are they?
I know quite a few used to live in the Creekside apartments in Gahanna. They are nice but not like renting a studio loft in the Arena District.
Remember that friendly w/ The Crew vs. Bayer Leverkusen. Frankie started a brawl w/ The Crew and received a red card, and then a couple of years later he joined The Crew and became a Crew legend!!
