With the LAFC game getting moved the next game on the schedule is now at SKC. Will Russell and Agada show Sporting what they lost and RSL really take it to the KC's? I doubt it. They will be without Diego Luna again but should have Marczuk back. Perhaps with the "invigorating" play of their DP perhaps Diogo will show up as well. Still have some time to get to the lineups and RSL has more time to practice so we could be in store for a virtuoso of a performance from all involved. Stay tuned!
The onus is on Agada and Russell to show SKC what they lost, because so far I doubt SKC have any regrets.
Seriously. I was under the impression Agada was going to be streaky but still contribute something to the team. So far through 500 minutes he’s been just bad.
4 of the next 6 before Leagues Cup are home games. Cincinnati is the only home one I don't think they can win. They should probably rotate on the road in POR and try to grind out a result. 4 wins, while definitely not expected, is possible with this schedule: 6/28: @KC 7/5: STL 7/12: HOU 7/16: @POR 7/19: CIN 7/26: SJ
SJ is a wild card. Their defense and GK (injury) has been suspect so far, but The Bruce might have it figured out by then. Cincinnati likes low scoring games this year, so there's always a chance there.
I’ll play devils advocate here: At SKC best we can hope for is a draw. Sure we have some of their castoffs who hopefully play with fire, but it’s not like the rest of the squad is good enough. Especially without Luna STL has owned this club in its small existence most meetings. I’m chalking that up to a draw too HOU and this iteration of RSL are weird. They’re down the key players, so maybe a win? loss at Portland. No doubt Cinci is good. We’re not. That’s a loss chicho comes back and bags a hat trick
This is more realistic. 5pts in 6, closer to where we have been. Playoffs pace require 11/12pts in 6. I’ll hold onto hope for now. I’m expecting all hope to be dashed by the end of July.
So Much Soccer And yet, rsl isn’t playing all that much. This is a strange summer thus far. And 2026 is going to be even moreso
I saw that you had to have an account and pick a subscription plan, so I didn't pursue it. Upon further reading, I'm now seeing that the whole CWC is free. Wish I had known earlier.
...and that's a LOT of soccer. You can currently tune in to see PSG give the Sounders a good thumping.
And watch sava and botafogo have a diving competition with Athletico Madrid legitimately this is the worst game of dark arts bullshit I’ve seen. Occasionally some soccer breaks out, but it’s rare
They push you to sign up for their full streaming service I said nah It’ll ask you every time you open the app. Beware
My thanks to all of you who posted DAZN information above. It was easy to set up an account on ROKU and I’m sitting here comfortably watching LAFC/Flamengo.
Hard to get excited for this game. I just don’t know what to expect from the season. I don’t really have a sense the club knows where it wants to go next. It all feels weirdly in flux and happy to just be in existence
Surely Pablo is coaching for his next contract. Does that conflict with the FO that probably wants to develop players which conflicts with ownership wanting butts in stands?
SKC is playing on short rest. They also have a slightly short week before their next one, a road game at CRrapids. How much rotation will there be? Does Marczuk get his starting spot back, or does Russell start in his return? I hope Russell isn't a halftime sub and that hopefully the home fans give him a good send-off. Is Ojeda back? Does he start with Ruiz? I'm assuming no changes in the back. Cabral Caliskan Glad Vera Katranis Ruiz Ojeda Russell Gozo Goncalves Agada
Not having Luna sucks. That attacking line just doesn’t do much on paper. Maybe Diogo had a come to Jesus moment this last month and is ready to Matt Crooks us. if you’re making me bet? I’m taking SKC by 1.5
Russell is beloved by the SKC fanbase. He will be greeted respectfully. He’s gone out of his way to make sure they know he loves them and KC. But there’s no doubt that he would like to bend their FO over. I’m expecting him to play with fire. On the flip side SKC knows his limitations.
