Who else here has had a concussion? Who has had a concussion with repercussions that lasted beyond a month? Beyond a year? 3+ years?
I don't know when/if we'll see him, but I forgot about the new Diego. Rocio was signed to a Monarchs deal that becomes an MLS deal next year. He played for the Monarchs on Wednesday, he's likely an MLS caliber player soon.
I think he can’t play more than 3-4 games with the first team without getting a first team contract. I think that’s how Caliskan ended up on the first team early last year.
We shall see. More curious to see what world tensions might play a role. We have an incompetent, sundowning TACO man being manipulated by Christo Fascists hoping to bring on the second coming by burning down the Middle East and books at home. So...
I get to go to a wedding on Saturday so wont be able to get to the game. Might get to practice today to see what a possible starting lineup might be. RSL under Pablo, after breaks in the schedule, seems to struggle to play well upon return to play. You have a DCU team looking for a touchdown's worth of redemption and an RSL team without their best offensive player in Luna hoping to find some cohesion and scoring. I will miss not being their for Nick Rimando, who was always there for me, lol, but I'm thinking going to the wedding might be a good choice.
You have narcissistic cult leader who designed and lives in an echo chamber and idolizes everything America says it isnt… all while draped in America regalia just to drive the irony home. But FIFA is entirely bottom line driven. This country could be in a civil war, I still don’t think they’d pull the 26 World Cup
How much of the money made by FIFA is media money vs gameday revenue? Just thinking they may not care if they're getting theirs from non game day stuff.
For fifa the tournament is largely “paid for” before a ball is even kicked. The host country/city/venue start in a hole and make it up on the days up to and on gameday. what fifa does suffer (but obviously doesn’t give two shits about) is reputational damage
Probably something like this: Cabral Caliskan, Glad, Vera, Katranis Ruiz, Nelson Russell, Gozo, Diogo Agada Just "guessing"
Russell's fitness was a concern when he first joined the team. What's the over/under on how long he can go? 60 minutes?
Sounds about right. Really curious to see this pairing in the midfield. What happened to Ojeda though?
Game day! I'm ready to watch this team, but my hopes are not high. It'd be nice to see some players take advantage of playing opportunities.
I'm interested to see if diogo looks like he cares or not. Imo this could be his last game with us, or at least should be...
Ojeda is in Paraguay getting green card with the theory posited by Trey in his podcast that it’s to free up an international spot for the summer
Yeah And it’s full of shit that has the potential to age horribly. As always https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bleeding-claret-and-cobalt/id1548370348?i=1000712887285
No Trey, you can never blame the refs! Wow, Trey needs to do the math. It'll take incredible form to even make the playoffs and he's saying a top 4 finish is possible. He mentions the lack of difference makers, but somehow the offense and defense will improve dramatically and the playoffs are within reach. The Luna talk was fair and deserved. Enjoy him while you can. I'll be watching tomorrow night.
No DMs on the bench tonight. When was the last time Ruiz or Palace went 90? 4 defenders though, Henry with the return tonight. It'll be really interesting to see if Pablo forces these guys to play the same game model. Russell isn't like Marczuk and Gozo isn't an AM. Gozo seems to be making it work though. International break games tend to at least be interesting, even with a match with two of the worst teams in the league. See LA and STL earlier today.
