Okay so its the year 2010
While I do like some of these ideas.

the US will face Germany on May 26th at the Fire House in Chicago (live on the Soccer Channel at 7:30 p.m. ET)
    Beasley, DaMarcus
    Midfielder
    Newcastle, England

    Bocanegra, Carlos
    Defender
    Metrostars

    Cochrane, Ryan
    Defender
    Chicago Fire

    Countess, DJ
    Goalkeeper
    Chicago Fire

    Capano, Craig
    Midfielder
    Oklahoma

Please. In 7 years does anyone really expect Boca to still be in the US. and God forbid with the Metrostars?
I hope I don't ever have to see him play for NY. I do like the idea of Chicago still being a powerhouse in 2010. But I think this list is too shortsighted.
    Fun to speculate though.

Ya, I'd like to think that Capano has enough talent to avoid playing in Oklahoma! :)

The post makes a lot more sense now. Unfortunately the article isn't any less stupid.
Not to say stupid can't be fun.

HAHA. That was a laugh. Although Id be damned if in 2010 we have a guy named DJ Countess as our keeper. Sounds like he should be on a rap cd.

    ¡Question!

I believe that Boca has recently said that he would look forward to an invitation to play for a European club. I think he has the size and talent to achieve such a goal, but what about contract witht the Fire? How long does that go for?

and for that matter, how much influence does the Fire have over the future career decisions of players like Beasley and Bocanegra (and even Jaqua, who apparnetly would be considered a future prospect for a Euro team)? If Beasley gets a premier league invite this year, can he go or is he still under contract with MLS? How does that work?

The funniest part of this whole statement is the notion Bob would say these many words at one time.

    More like stand-in.

Other than the fact he wouldn't be coaching the dirt-ass metrostars the best reason to hope ail Out Bob becomes US manager is the international press conferences.

German reporter: "So, Mr. Bradley, do you think your squad can make a run like they did in 2002 toward the world cup title?"

    B.O.B.: *thinks, then nods head*

    German reporter: ....

"Would you care to elaborate, Coach Bradley?"

    B.O.B: *thinks, then shakes head*

B.O.B. is a good coach but I am begining to think our Dave is no slouch himself. He isn't afraid to sub someone out which is a great change from B.O.B. Additionally he doesn't have a 3-5-2 or die policy. Not to say that 3-5-2 isn't a Fire standard but it's nice to see flexibility.
I guess my point is that Sarachan has the same chance of being the Nats coach after Arena as B.O.B. does.
