Siouxsie Sioux was English - half English, half Belgian, actually. Now, to bring it back on topic: CAP SIOUXSIE SIOUX!!!!!!
Shea definitely having a better game then last week, he had two shots saved by good goalkeeping by Reis, Rowe is having a quiet game
When he got the ball he generally did something good with it, but for most of the game he was never a part of the game. I'm not sure if that was Dallas' midfield problem or what, but the ball rarely went out to him until the last few minutes of the game. https://twitter.com/#!/OptaJack/status/188090127292174336 Interesting
Rowe disappeared late in the game. Shea got better as the game went along but he was not nearly as effective as Castillo was on the wings.
Wenger had his first goal today, which was gift wrapped by Ty Harden. I still think he projects as a world class center back and is being misused as a forward, but there's no question his speed, strength on the ball (he shoved Olave out of his way with ease on Thursday) and quality first touch make for an intriguing #9. And if he keeps finding goals, that's where he'll stay. Of mild interest was the play of Collen Warner as a box-to-box midfielder. He was probably the best player on the pitch against RSL and had a claim to that again vs. TFC. One to watch throughout the year, because his touch and skill on the ball are wonderful.
Not sure gift wrapped is the right word, Wenger deserves credit for the battle. http://p.mlssoccer.com/SAu5a/video/931405/mls_2012-04-07-140305.640hq.mp4
Yup, I love the hustle he showed on that play. Lot's of forwards would have stopped running/ stopped fighting for the ball.
Full credit for the battle and forcing the error, but when a defender sets you up perfectly in the box, that's a gift-wrapped goal.
Yeah.... Cooper is kind of tearing it up with his 5th of the season? I would say that if he continues this we may see him in May with the Nats
2 for Cooper I wonder what happens when Agudelo comes back? Hopefully they run something like.... Cooper--Agudelo -----Henry I just don't want to see Agudelo sitting for another season.
Yes, but Cooper just equaled Agudelo's goal output for NYRB in just 5 games. Luke Rodgers (a League 1 /2 player) scored 9 goals in 20 something games. These arent special players but they are scoring while Juan who has been hyped up a lot has not. He has talent but he needs to start scoring when he is given any chance to play.
Well so far New York have what, 8 goals in the last 135 minutes? Agudelo and Salgado might want to start a poker game or something since they neither might be playing for a while.
So nice to see a player like CJ Sapong with decent skill and a willingness to play with his back to goal.
The new McBride. Re: Cooper, it's interesting that he's getting his goals from center-forward spots. He's NEVER done that, not regularly. If he keeps playing like a No. 9 for a few months there's no reason not to call him in, since he has as many gifts as anyone in the pool.
Yeah, he seems to be happy about it and not complaining about being misused. Then again scoring 6 goals in 5 games would probably make anyone happy.
Does Kitchen really project as a DM? He seems like a spazz...just a lot energy and a lot of turnovers. Nick Deleon has has been one of the bright spots in the anemic DC attack in the first half.
Yeah Galaxy are a mess. I'm just putting it down to Omar Gonzalez missing and nobody can convince me otherwise. Wondolowski with two goals.
