We get fined for "abusing" the injury report. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2011/06/24/mls-fines-la-galaxy-violating-injury-report-policy
I am just shocked, shocked I tell you. Of course I am not shocked that the Galaxy was finded or are guilty, but that it took this long for the MLS office to notice that their reports are inaccurate.
that's pretty funny. No doubt no one would have even noticed if it weren't for Beckham being involved.
What are you saying?? Are you saying the league doesn't care about Hejduk's arthritis, Kirovski's bouts of "the funky foot" and Bryan Jordan's tragic case of El Pollo Sin Cabeza? Frankly, I find that hard to believe and not at all like MLS, where, as you know, it's all about fairness and equality.
This is all a smokescreen to make it look like the MLS isn't run in Galaxy's favour. Even as we speak, Garber, AEG and Gullati are dotting the i's on the soon-to-be-relocated "Wisconsin Earthquakes". To make up for the harrowing emotions we'll likely experience with once again having this historic rivalry torn from our lives, they're also giving us Chris Wondolowski.
they just did this to please the complaining, baby Colorado fans that didn't get to see their beloved goldenballs.
Hey, none of those idiot reporters complaining were Colorado fans. Given their lack of interest in the Rapids on the other 364 days a year, I'd say they were Galaxy fans.
We've been guilty of lying on the injury report the entire Bruce Arena era. Almost without fail the injury report is proven false come game time.
Do they have to include Tim Leiweke's hurt feelings on the next injury report. Cuz I'm sure he's weeping over this one. Weeping.
awesome! the MLS takes notice of inaccurate injury reports and sets fines...so the next logical step for the league would be to take notice of how bad their refs are and fine them for their constant poor performances
*FANS* of every other team in the league should be happy when Arena does this with Beckham. It let's all the glory hunters/Beckham "fans" actually get to see/watch a soccer game of their local team without fawning over Beckham's mediocrity.
If $5k is the going rate for being left off the injury report, Beckham may just pay it each week and sit out the rest of the season.....he can afford it.
