I thought it might be useful to share some of the online resources I've found useful this season. It might help other first time players like myself. Please feel free to add your own sites as well. Let's spread the word and share the wealth!

Very nice blog run by forum member deuteronomy that breaks down MLS from a fantasy prospective.
    http://kentuckyfootballclub.wordpress.com/

This blog that is more general in nature, but definitely has some fantasy specific bits included
    http://wvhooligan.com/

Another site with a good MLS section and timely articles
    http://www.nevermanagealone.com/tag/mls-fantasy

From our own forum member ENBSports, a statistical slant on things

    What resources do you use?

    Thanks for the links, guys.

Sweet - what does the "NTB" column in the price change table represent?

This thread may be a good one to pin.

Forgot to add a few 'official' MLSSoccer links that I've also been making frequent use of:

New MLS Fantasy stats section rolled out this season. Incredibly useful as you can do more searching and sorting than what is available via the transfer page dropdowns. I had linked it in a previous thread, but wanted it included here as well.

Also, here's the official Twitter account for MLS Fantasy. They tweet news and links when their fantasy-specific articles and blog entries come online

Update: Nevermind, I got it working on my iPhone. Not sure why it's not working on my regular computer, but it may be my work firewall.

Thost are Net Transfers. Currently it takes 231 for a player to increase in value. The number has changed some since the season started.

I think it crashed for a little bit the other night. My friend runs it and the stats update when he refreshes his computer. Soem time there are some hiccups.

    I got the "N" and "T". What's the "B"?

And is it net transfers since the last price change? That would probably be the most logical and useful number

Net Transfer Balance. Yes since last price change because they need to get at least 231 to go up. And a player can only go up by $0.3m between game weeks.

Thought I'd mention the "switcharoo" trick that's being used by some folks. It takes advantage of the way manager substitutions work and gives you a limited ability to select a potentially better player over an underperforming player after a game week has started. The technique is explained here:

    http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...der-trick-could-keep-you-leaving-points-bench

Be warned, however, if you don't set up your team and bench correctly, you could get screwed.

It's also still a gamble. I did a Chara > Donovan switcheroo in GW16: Chara only had 1 point after his first game, so I subbed Donovan in figuring he'd get a better score than 1 + Chara's second game. I ended up losing 2 points on the deal - thanks a lot, Landycakes!

I'm going to try the trick this game week, but it also mentions captains - how does that work?

Cool - unfortunately all my attacking players play on the same day but I am going to try it with my defense.
