http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/mls/fantasy/home_good.html i've created a league for Fire fans... just sign up and join the league named "Chicago Fire" there is no password, so anyone can join -jim
one other thing, you can join more than one league with the same account... you just have to create another team...
hey i joined to first fantasy thing for me, fun to try my team Staszow FC btw, how does this work,i know we pick players do we have a draft or something or we just buy
this game is a salary cap mixed with a stock market you have 2 million to buy 11 players and then once the season starts, the values of each player will change based on movement of all the managers and the efforts of the players and this is unlike yahoo, as you can wind up with more than 2 million or less than 2 million to purchase players with -jim
Gang: On the DC United board, people are posting their rosters for debate. So I thought I'd post mine here as well: Ok, I guess I'll show you what I'm thinking: 3-5-2. Kreis -- Eskandarian Vaca - Ekelund - Beasley - Martino - Mapp Petke - Ivanov - Kante Hartman -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I've built my midfield instead on mostly young guys who are ready to take off. And I've made an assumption that Eskandarian will start, and will be the beneficiary of a revamped midfield. -ESB GM/TSN Games
here's my starters (subject to change) razov-quaranta beasley-convey-armas-kingsley-gonzalez boca-bo-brown a. brown it's kinda tough with the 2 mil. i wish i could have bought more draftees but with the teams getting better it's harder to say those guys would get playing time.
this is mine 4-4-2 Wolff, Josh Spencer, John Elliott, Simon Mulrooney, Richard Armas, Chris Deering, Chad Hendrickson, Ezra Bocanegra, Carlos Brown, C.J. CHI Petke, Mike DC Hartman, Kevin
S : Ruiz, Carlos LA M Martino, Kyle CLB Pineda Chacon, Alex LA West, Brian CLB Matteo, Jeff CLB Gonzalez, Guillermo LA D Clark, Mike CLB Califf, Danny LA Myung-Bo, Hong LA Dunseth, Brian K Busch, Jon im going for opening day points, hehe ~DRE~
Meet the Girdwood Yetis As much as I prefer a 3-5-2, I could only make the budget work with a 4-4-2. Damned salary cap. F: Ante Razov CHI John Spencer COL M: Simon Elliott LA Richard Mulrooney SJ Dema Kovalenko DC Eric Denton CLB D: Carlos Bocanegra CHI Hong Myung-Bo LA Ritchie Kotschau COL Paul Broome DAL G: Zach Thornton CHI
I guess I'll look into starting a team, but I'm terrible at keeping up with it. Plus, refusing to buy any Dallas, Metro, or LA players limits your options slightly.
S Donovan, Landon Moreno, Jaime M Stewart, Earnie Beasley, DaMarcus Hernandez, Daniel Pareja, Oscar Garcia, Freddy D Myung-Bo, Hong Garcia, Nick Ivanov, Galin K Howard, Tim
this is probably a dumb thing to say but my experience with this type of fantasy league is that it is best to have the least amount of defenders possible because they make the least amount of points.
couple of thoughts -you are only allowed 25 "trades" (after that it's pay)... that's less than one move per week... make note of that -u-20 championships this year -confederations cup, gold cup, etc for various countries -razov might not be a good bet to start with... he misses the first few games -rookies like memo will probably get very little playing time all year... they'll spend most of their time with the u-17's -various quality players coming off injuries etc. you can make as many moves as you want before the season starts
My starting 11, this will probably change before opening day, as we see if some of my "hunches" will actually start (Ivanov, Albright, Chacon, Grimandi, Olsen, etc.) These types of games are only fun if you are willing to take chances. F/S Carrieri, Chris Moore, Joe-Max Albright, Chris M Klein, Chris Grimandi, Gilles Pineda Chacon, Alex Olsen, Ben D Myung-Bo, Hong Ivanov, Galin Whitfield, Evan G Hartman, Kevin
There was a problem selling: Hartman, Kevin for $189,000. You don't have enough trades left. hmmm i thought we had unlimited trades til 4/5
