I thought we could discuss the game here, and share who we think is under and over valued. I'll start by listing who I think are some good bargains. You have a salary of $2 million for eleven players.

    Possible bargains:

    Strikers

    275-Cunningham, Columbus
    126-Ching, San Jose
    122/94-Johnson/Nhleko, Dallas
    75-Occean, Metros

Cunningham should be starting again, and he's put up some good numbers in the past. If Ching starts, he should produce, but he has to beat out Derosario first. Dallas can't be as bad as last year, plus Kreis is coming off of injury. One of those two should be a real bargain. Occean has been hot in the preseason, and with Mathis gone and Magee hurt, he could be starting on opening day.

    Midfielders

    195-Convey, DC
    140-Victorine, Los Angeles
    107-Walsh, Kansas City

Convey is definitely undervalued, with Etcheverry gone he should be a huge part of the offense. Victorine had a disappointing year but has put up solid numbers before, and with Preki hurt, Walsh or somebody else has the chance to be a playmaker.

    Defenders

    140/140-Marshall/Wingert, Columbus
    110/75-Buciaga/Gutierrez, Kansas City
    104-Reyes

One of the Columbus guys should be a decent value, and Reyes should get some points for whoever picks him up. Not sure who's gonna start for KC, but those guys are really cheap. Also, all the LA defenders are really cheap.

My feeling is that with Etcheverry gone that with the Jaime Moreno coming back that he'll be slotted back to an attacking midfield role as DC's playing style shifts European. This will possibly make less wear and tear on an injury prone player and give Convey some competition for that role.

I wasn't aware of Magee being injured...thanks for the heads up on that one. However what kind of injury does he have. I think that if he has any chance of recovering by opening day that he will be the man. The Metros are going to be a very good team and I've taken Johnny Walker as my keeper because of that. So I would say right now that Walker is undervalued.

I noticed Rimando was valued less than Warren. Is he injured (if so, how long) or is Warren really expected to be the starter?

    Thanks,

Milton Reyes was waived by DC United and was not selected in the waiver draft so don't add him to your roster!
