Does anyone have any info about this years supporters summit

LA host of this years final apparently doesn't know anything about it.It's always held in the MLS final host city the weekend of the game?

Re: Does anyone have any info about this years supporters summit

I saw something on it somewhere, but I don't immediately recall where.

I'll try to recall/find whatever it might have been.

Fairly sure that somebody out there in la-la land is making some plans, etc.

OK, best I could find was that supposedly the Galaxians are arranging the summit.

Their website (such that it is) doesn't say anything that I could find regarding the summit.

You might try emailing them at: info@galaxians.com

If you learn anything, let us know.

Yeah, they do. They sit in section 103. I can talk to the ones I know and see if I can information.

  6. Mike Breton is the guy that organized the first Supporter's Summit 6 years ago. They let us use their section for the Cup final.

I checked the Galaxian's website and they have no clue about any of this. Considering that the final is only 5 weeks away, I am a bit concerned if they are going to be able to put this thing together at all. Oh well, that means I can go to the Whiskey a Go Go instead on Saturday night.

Isn't what mainly happened at the Summit presenting the Shield anyway? I've been told this year they're going to officially present it to the team before a home playoff game as it should be.

I mean, the players earned it, not the stupid fans. Presenting fans trophies they didn't earn is kinda dumb.

This also goes for that whatever it was being passed around section 8 saturday.

Peter had the award for being the most fan friendly team in aught three. I think in that case it doesn't make that much of a difference if you pass it around or not.

p.s. Liam clean out your PM box already.

I guess. but the fans didn't win the ward, did they? I guess it just seems cheesy to me.

Damn, I did just last week!

    Dear MLS and A-League Supporters,

Do they also realize that a lot of us are flying into LA that morning, most of us will miss the start of the summit?

  15. We'll just have to crash it at the end with our beer bottles clinking to announce our arrival. For those of you who are first timers, it's a Chicago tradition. ;)

Re: Supporter's Summit, Bash, Gala and MLS Cup Info

While setting aside tickets is admirable, even if we make it I'd still encourage everyone from Chicago to purchase in the group already set up for us in order to keep all fans together.

There will be more details early next week, but I'm working out a way to have a Fire Fans-only gathering after the Supporters' Bash Saturday night in LA so we can all socialise on MLS Cup eve together as fans.

I'm not sure about where yet, I'm working on it, but I think it's a good idea. Any comments?

    Pre-game

Any thoughts on a Fire fans pre-game party? HDC doesn't allow tailgating :( but maybe HDC could cater a pre-game party outside the stadium. Might be expensive, but perhaps a cash bar and $10 cover charge for food would work. Game time's early (12:30 pm LA time), so maybe there isn't a need for a pre-game party. Just a thought. If enough people think it makes sense, someone should contact HDC to work out details. Let me know if i can help.

    peter

PS Thanks again for last night. WOW! Fire fans came through again. It was louder than the 30k on 10/10!

I think there should be a pre-game party that day. Sure, any sort of drinking before noon may stink of problems if you´re doing it in the privacy of your own home... but if people are going to go hundreds of miles to see this game, then I think we can all suck it up, get up a little earlier and meet before the game.

    Morning pseudo-tailgate!
