I don't mean to hijack this thread, but how do you actually get an 8.5x11 print of that sweet Hejduk photo (#83796720 on Getty Images), or any other photo for that matter? I registered at Getty Images and tried to add it to my shopping cart, and the quoted me a price of $1,395. Anybody know how to just get one print, or do I have to try to get the Crew to buy it and license it? I know I'm making this much more difficult than it needs to be. Feel free to PM me if necessary.
Re: MLS Cup 2008 I'd like to know this too. Frankly, I'm planning on framing yesterday's Dispatch, and wouldn't mind a few framed photos from that Getty archive too. Oh, and I'm gonna need some more of the "bumblebee" LH scarves. At least one is going on permanent display in my basement, along with all of the framed MLS Cup stuff.

Here's a tidbit - you can get poster-sized reprints (from 11x17 up to 20x30) of individual pages of the Dispatch here. So you out-of-towners, if you want to display the front page of the Dispatch from yesterday, you can buy a copy there and have it shipped to you.

Good call on the Dispatch reprints. It looks like you can order them online and them pick them up in a few days from Cord Camera. You don't need a man cave to hang this stuff. I'm planning one to replace the picture of shoes that my wife currently has in the living room (note: it's easier to ask forgiveness than for permission). After she makes me take it down I'm going to hang it in the extra bedroom by the computer. I'm thinking it'd be sweet to get Frankie to personalize an autograph on a copy of the post-goal photo, something inspirational like "Robb - With practice, all things are possible. Frankie Hejduk." No, I am not joking.

I was just over at Dick's on Sawmill and they had a bunch of Championship shirts right at the front of the store. I swear there were 5 or 6 moms in there buying them for their kids. Very cool to see. They had it in black or white. Same graphic as the one on Mlsgear I believe. Adult and kid sizes.
Sold through Getty only, as far as I know. I'll try to research a bit and see if there's some sort of workaround. Their deal with the league is pretty airtight, though.
Would it help if we tried to contact the photographer directly, or does Getty own the rights completely? I wouldn't even care if I had to buy this picture from the Crew or MLS, I just have to have it on my wall!
I don't think so. I tried to do that after the season opener with a photo that was only of me and they wouldn't play ball.
I used to have a master of a mancave in our apartment....then we bought a house. I'm in clear violation of the manlaw now. My autographs are packed away as I lost a court of appeals battle with the wifey. Ah, I used to be a man.
Does anyone know if they will eventually sell T-shirts that show we won the shield and the cup. I would really pay for that.
Did anyone stop at the Crew store today? I'm wondering what the stock was like because I couldn't find shirts any at 2 different Dick's stores.
I spoke with a Getty Images representative last evening. The prints are $150 each, unless it is your image (Hard Hat Mike). She didn't really seem like budging, even after I told her it was just for my flat.
