Consider the following from SoccerAmerica's MLS Insider... B]2. TV LINEUP: Eric Wynalda will join ABC's broadcast team for MLS Cup 2002. He and Terry Gannon, who worked together during the World Cup, will co-host the game and will contribute to the pregame and halftime segments. John Paul Dellacamera will do the play-by-play and Ty Keough will be the analyst. On the sidelines will be Veronica Paysee and Rob Stone. An official announcement will be made Wednesday. Rock band Puddle of Mudd will perform as part of the festivities.[/B]
that's a great improvement over the route they have been going of getting chick singers a young rock band is the best they could have done... well done (even if i don't like them), it will appeal to flakes that wouldn't necessarily give the league a chance... provided that there is some promotion to go with this
JESUS CHRIST!!! What the hell is so wrong with who they picked??? I personally think some of you 34 year old virgins have nothing better to do but complain about stuff that really is not important.
One example. How would Ken Bates operate in a single entity league? Of course, a Ken Batesian character can not exist in a league where the league controls all player negotiations and transfers. You might not like Ken Bates, but you must admit he creates headlines.
Whats bad is we won't be hearing Puddle of Mudd's one and only good track "She ***************ing Hates Me"...obviously they won't play that, all their other crap is garbage...
You guys are missing the ************ing point. It is a mainstream band playing at the MLS Cup half time. Hell, I mentioned that to a soccer basher I work with and even he raised his eyebrows seemingly impressed with the information. God. Is there anything worse than soccer fans. You guys are impossible to please. Remove your momma's tit from your mouth and quit bitching.
ha ha ha ha ha you guys are funny , your crackin me up . DId anybody here actually watch the games they have been great so far I think
jesus christ. chill the ************ out. i was making a statement, but you obviously missed it because you were too busy flaming me. i was refering to the fact that everyone always bitches about the broadcasts. i didn't go on some rant about how "paysee needs to go" and "jack and ty suck" or "stoner is like a giddy schoolgirl when he calls a game"... they brought in jp and wynalda, who i like very much. it seems like a decent line-up and a decent band. i would much rather have puddle of mud than nelly, aerosmith, and nsync. it could be worse. and i am a 19 year old college student if you were wondering. so that debunks your theory.
I'll jump back into this with the following: 1) I myself am an 18-year old college student (you might have already surmised that). 2) The following will appear in a column by Tony Kornheiser in tomorrow's Washington Post: "I don't watch much ESPN," Jagger said. "Unless they have soccer on." That would be Mick Jagger, talking to TK at the recent Rolling Stones concert at FedEx Field just outside of DC. The whole article is here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A14189-2002Oct11.html

Even though I hate the Stones I think trying to get them to play next year's MLS cup isn't out of the question, and would probably be better than most other choices.
well i hope they don't show the music part of the half time show on tv. i'd rather watch commercials and get nice and roasted.
