Not for me, but I'm (obviously) not on a fitness plan prescribed by my employer. It's this part of the post that I think is the issue:
So they're saying that staying out late guzzling booze is just fine but eating sausage and fries is a punishable offense?

Farsi's toe is ouchie #Crew96 Wilfried Nancy confirms that Mo Farsi's suffered a toe injury when his toe was stepped on vs FC Cincinnati, which is why Nancy left Farsi off the gameday roster todayNancy says they will evaluate Farsi's status going forward for the upcoming games— Brianna Mac Kay (@brimackay15) September 19, 2024
I heard a famous ex-pointyball player say once that the dumbest thing a professional.athlete can do is eat their way out.of a job.
With Derrick Jones' assist on Herrera's goal, almost every field player has a goal and/or assist this year for us in some official competition. The exceptions are Aziel Jackson, Quinton, Habroune, Mrowka, and Hughes. Oops, and Sands.
Jackson with a goal and 2 secondary assists. Sands is the only guy over 100 MLS minutes who has not scratched in some competition this year.
Hopefully Bush can start but if not Romero who has a option for 25 can get another chance. We will be in the same boat next year so we will need 4 GK to be safe. I would like to see him get minutes for Crew2 next season if Bush is going to keep playing. Romero looked good but made a huge mistake but so did Steffen & Schulte. He is young and needs opportunities but for this season with a playoff seed possibly on the line it’s hard to give him a chance in another pressure situation.
Yeah, he only played 4 games for LAFC's MLSNP team and gave up 7 goals in them. I don't see him as a talent to be developed for the future, he was just the only option we had at the trade deadline.
In terms of Bush, he got hurt vs RSL on 4/13. On 6/29, according to the Dispatch, we was less than 2 weeks away from being cleared to train again, when he broke a different bone in the same arm. Requiring a 2nd surgery 10 weeks after the first one. https://www.dispatch.com/story/spor...revolution-live-mls-match-scores/74235275007/ 6/29 was 11 weeks removed from 4/13. Plus (less) than 2 is 13 weeks. 13 weeks from 6/29 is ......this Saturday. NE is two weeks from there. Assuming the breaks/recovery timelines are the same (big IF), he *might* be able to make it back. Heck, enough to be the backup would be great.
Is there a link on that? I mean, like you say, if his arm is better, running laps make no difference on that. And, as a GK, it isn't likely he has an issue going 90 due to lack of fitness.
From #Crew96 training: Patrick Schulte is back training, so is Evan Bush (limited however) pic.twitter.com/XTdFKZ7ROS— Brianna Mac Kay (@brimackay15) August 8, 2024
You’ll note in that photo that Bush is the only one not wearing gloves. Anyway, that was early August. Hopefully, he’s been cleared to actually use his arms by now.
#Crew96 training: Everyone (expect Bush) is fully available at training pic.twitter.com/QI5K5GpARU— Brianna Mac Kay (@brimackay15) September 24, 2024 She said on the soccer speakeasy that he is expected to return this season
So where is Romero now? He isn't going to be sent to NextPro, but he isn't going to make the game roster and once Bush is healthy they might as well send him out to the lot to wash cars.
??? He is the #4 GK. What did you expect would happen? He certainly is gonna be on the 20 for the NE game, even if Bush is ready, which I doubt (but am hopeful), b/c Schulte & Hagen will likely get called. We have more than 20 guys on our roster. Some of them are not active in game days. Romero is one of those guys.
26 is still young, He could possibly be a solid back up GK one day. As a journeyman GK that red card was just inexplicable. But everyone makes mistakes. That was his MLS debut , he has been waiting a long time for an opportunity.
