We don't have that solid CM replacement. You can blather on all you want about the "Best Crew team in history" yada yada yada but we just lost one of the pieces that MADE US THAT. If you can't accept that, then you are huffing copium more than is healthy.

I think Jon Busch was better than Hesmer.

 

Passenger? He saved 2 PKs at the beginning of the 2008 season that Danny O gave up while he was still learning how to play defense after moving back from his enforcer role in the midfield. And they were roommates. We didn't score a ton of goals that season. Our defense, Hesmer included, kept us in all of those matches. Plus, Hesmer scored a goal in what, 2010, 2011? Passenger my goddamned ass.

I've always said that Moreira is an amazing player who has always gotten forward because he used to be a straight up right back who made runs forward regularly, and Nancy knows this and has not kept him from doing so despite moving him into a RCB role. Guy has heart and plays his guts out for the team. He's the kind of player we need. Like Frankie + Duncan. Fun when things go well, plus unwavering dedication and frustration when things go badly.

Would really like some rumors of us getting some u22 guys. Personally I want to get some younger taller ,faster more athletic CB. Another CM type as well. Not only is Morris gone but Nagbe isn’t getting younger.

Right now the most important guys we can’t afford a injury at their position :
1 Nagbe
2 Camacho

we can still score without cucho but it’s a big talent drop off without him. But if these 2 guys get hurt we are in trouble.

 

I agree, would love 2 U22 guys in those exact spots.

1. A big signing
2. Cucho not leaving
