Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win MLS Cup 2004: The Gals: #10) I really really really can't stand this team. #9) They pulled a Roman Abromovich: They fired their coach when they were doing VERY well. They don't deserve to win. The Wiz: #8) They knocked us out of The US Open Cup. #7) The next HSG team to win MLS Cup needs to be Dallas. DC ADUnited: #6) Their fans suck -- at least most of them do. #5) I hate Dema Kovalenko #4) I really don't want to hear how "Freddy won the Cup his first season in the league"...BARF New England Revolution: #3) They kept Chicago from making the playoffs #2) They're the crappiest team left and it would just be pure comedy for them to win it. ...And the #1 reason the Revs should win............ #1) THREE PRO SPORTS TEAMS IN ONE YEAR: Patriots won the Super Bowl Red Sox won the World Series Revolution wins MLS Cup Awesome.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win As long as they beat desolute crabs untied, then thats fine by me.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win I'm not to keen on the Revs, and I absolutely despise the Red Sox, but very convincing arguement- even the one about the Wiz. Definitely made me think twice about hating them for [result]*I keep getting in trouble for not doing this*- beating out Columbus[/result] yesterday. Consider urself repped.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win Excellent use of tags and emoticons! If thE *&(*&(* REP system would let me I would rep you.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win #1 reason the Revs need to NOT win MLS Cup.... It would make our league look Mickey Mouse if the 9th team overall won the whole damn thing. NE is good at bunkering but for fvcks sakes they don't deserve to even be in the playoffs let alone in the final. THEY SUCK! I'm sorry, they do, they are worse than we are, they don't need to be anywhere near the top. I hate DC United with the passion of Chicago so it pains me to hope that DC win, but its all trivial because KC will win the whole thing. You can hate on KC all you want but they are definetly the less of all the evils, plus all the ass kickings they gave us we deserved. Go Wiz.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win I hate the Revs! The only reason they advanced is Columbus absolutely shanked 2 PK's and after that they didnt deserve to win. F the Revs! But Id rather see them win than DC. But a LA/KC v DC cup final would be more fun to watch. Im rooting for the fellow HSG team the Wiz.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win I was glad to see the Revs knock out the hapless Crew. That is what Andrulis gets for changing a winning team. Plus, I have to root for the Texans on the team: Pierce and Dempsey(Who we should have drafted over Nunez!!!).
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win I seem to be in the minority, and the funny thing is that the reason many of you don't want the Revs to win was one of the reasons I listed that they should...for the comedic value of it.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win man city got screwed today Travis oh yea and im rooting for KC
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win thanks a lot for that...I managed to not see any result until I enter an MLS Cup thread and read your crappy post.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win This might be another good time to mention to those who don't know that it is totally uncool to post results or imply results to a game unless you do one of two things: 1] start a new thread and put an [R] in the title 2] use the "result" tag - you type the word Result inside of the brackets [] type what you want to be hidden - like the score or comments that imply who won/lost - then type /result inside of brackets [] When you do it looks like this: [result]it's a good thing mud is far away right now[/result] Please, mods - help the posters out and add [R] or the results tags for them if they forget.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win ******** im sorry its been a long day i wasnt even thinking i cant tell you how sorry i am
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win Mud, I have the trump card to all of your reasons. Dallas has one title in its history, US Open Cup 1997. Three MLS teams have zero titles: Metrostars cRapids and drumroll please... the Revs. If the Revs win it all, we lose natural bragging rights however weak they may to another MLS team.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win [R] added. How a Man City result gets dropped in during a Revs MLS Cup run thread just shows that the FC Dallas 96 forum is the Chaos Theory run amok.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Northside Rovers again.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win It could have been worse. We could have talked about Arsenal's result instead. What?
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win Any comment I might make could give away the result.
Re: MLS Cup 2004 - Top 10 reasons The Revs need to win This board has been great about revealing results lately.... Anyways, no way do I want NE to win MLS Cup Specifically because of your comedic point #2.
KC. A really classy performance in the first round, and they have been the best team around all year. Not the most fun to watch, but they are tough to beat. Cheers! Sir Drinxalot
Go KC. Those guys played the most consistent soccer in the whole league this season. They did it mostly without Preki and Simutenkov, who led the team in scoring last season. The various combos in the back line, all anchored by Jimmy Conrad, were rock solid. Bo or Meola did fine. They won the Open Cup. How about just because they were only on national tv once during the regular season- hard to believe anyone gets screwed more than we do. What I like the most is that they play as a TEAM. Whatever 11 run out produce consistent results, and each player is flexible and fills several roles well. Gansler's style may not be "exciting football," but I hope Sampson's exciting football comes up short this weekend. Go KC. One funny thing is that when I wrote 'Behind Enemy Lines' for one of the Burn's last KC games, I described Jack Jewsbury as a stealthy scoring threat. KC's fans tore me apart for that on their boards, saying the last thing Jewsbury is is a scoring threat. Anyone see who scored the series-winning goal Saturday? Hmm...
I'd actually like to see the Revs win it, especially against L.A. and even more especially IN L.A. AGAINST L.A.
