Now that its set who will be in Carson, who are you rooting for?

I will be rooting for DC United. I've always wanted to stand with the Barra Brava :D .

    Is anyone else going?

Waffling between that and Columbus for the WCQ... I might go to either one, both, or nix them altogether, especially since the lads are not in the final...

I'm going to be neutral on this one, except may the best team win... :D

DC win's a close match in that one too. It's time for the trophy to go home. Doesn't it know it's home!!!

By the way, do the accumulated playoff cards carry over to MLS cup? It seemed half of United got cards tonight. If that's the case I believe Ben Olsen and Namoff are out for the cup.

An all-Adidas final. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.... ;)

Seriously - DC is my #2 team after the Quakes. No question.

DC United. I would have pulled for the Crew, but...

So you think the MLS office is hoping and praying for the game winning goal to be scored in 89th minute by Freddy Adu? How happy would they be?

God that would make 'em happy. And also b/c the KC/Colorado [is there really a difference ;) ] style of bunker ball would get thwarted.

I don't know who to root for. I'm just rooting for an entertaining game, which I doubt will happen b/c it's Colorado. I mean KC.

Last night's game (even though I didn't see it) leads me to want to root for DC. At the same time, for Adu, losing is part of the development of an elite athlete, so it might be a good thing for KC to win.

I just want to see a good game!

I'm going. I'll be wearing blue & supporting KC. Overall I think they've been a better team team than DC. While they are bunker ball ish, they can turn it on when they need to (as we found out). And you can like some of their players (Conrad, Arnaud, Zavagnin - well... thats about it I suppose).

I cant summon up much enthusiasm for DC at all. Moreno is good, but ....unlikeable somehow. Whats certainly good though is that DC should bring a lot of fans.

What are you talking about K.C playing a bunker. If I recall we beat Both teams from Cali pretty well. So if scoring 5 goals in 2 games is a bunker. I'll take it....

I'd rather see Jimmy Conrad take the cup home than anyone from DC....

Besides, last year, when we beat out Kc to go to the cup, those guys were absolutely wonderful. Every one of them, on the way back to the locker room was congratulating us fans, and wishing us luck....
    GO KC!!!

I'm rooting for KC too, for those same reasons.

Besides -- The Quakes are one behind DC United in overall number of MLS Cup victories. I don't want DC to have any bigger lead on us than they do now...

Not only that, but who wants a team with Spitter Olsen on it to win?

So far, I've found three reasons for me to support KC.

    1. I don't want DC United to won their FOURTH championship - it would take some time for Quakes to catch up with them later
(Warning: if you are about to say "There will be no Quakes next season, blah, blah.." please, fvck off!)

    2. I don't want to see a lot of crap in the media about how great Freddy Adu is, and how he made the difference and brought championship to DC during his first ever year as a professional, blah-blah

    3. And, finally, I want Igor Simutenkov to get a championship ring too :)

I'm still not sure how good Freddie will be, but I thought there was a big drop off to DC's team play when he came on last night. He still wants to try and beat defenders by running right at them but more times than not the ball ends up going the other way.

I think you should; it would be the sportsmanlike thing to do after all those bad names in Russian that you called him! ;) (Not to mention the ones you taught us.) :D

And last week there was a noticable improvement when he came on. He came on for Gomez who was invisible until his goal. It may have been their scheme. He has done reasobnably well considering his age

KC. I'd like the Quakes to have lost to the eventual winners. Gansler, Conrad and Klein are class acts, not to say that Nowak isn't. I also wouldn't mind seeing a continued Western dominance. The East hasn't won since the previous millenia!

Actually, it's gone East, East, East, East, West, West, West, West. So, to truly dominate, the West needs to win this year. Otherwise, DC will have won has many times as the West has.

Actually, that third "East" was actually a "West", as Chicago was in the Western Conference at the time.

So to this point that would be three Easts and five Wests.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

Gotta root for KC and keeping the Cup in the West. The last couple of games have showed that they know how to do more than bunker.

Yup, I'll be going to LA LA land too. Although the Barra Brava do rock hard, I'll be standing with the 'Zards hoping Spongebobcat gets his second ring.

(and secretly rooting for the curse of Oshoniyi to be broken...it's a black goalkeeper thang :))

a DC win would help the league, but KC plays really well on that pitch. with their strong backs and forward tandem KC should win, so i'm going with DC. i like the flow of their game and in the big matches often it's the most talented player that makes the dif, and that's moreno

    cheers
