I just spoke with the folks at Hollywood Billiards about people that are under 21 getting into the Supporters Bash. He said that it shouldn't be a problem, and that they'll just need to be informed of who is under 21 so they don't serve them.

So Chad, LSN and Cait you should be cool.

The LA ticket rep finally called me back tonight and said she had sold more than 50 tickets to KC area fans today :)

Is anyone who is staying at the Hilton going to this? I could use a ride there!

The Hilton is just down the street from The Hampton Inn less than 2 miles, so if you know anyone staying there you could also catch a ride from them.

I'll be at the Hilton and I plan on renting a car tomorrow. I know Sam and several of the Lawrence Mystics will be at the Hilton also. I plan on going to both the Summit and the Bash. I'd be happy to offer you a ride. What time do you get in to LA on Saturday? My flight arives at 10:22am. But I need to pick up the rental and then make my way to Carson. Since check-in at the Hilton isn't until 3:00pm I have been considering going straight to the Summit from the airport. Private mail me if you want to plan out the logistics.

And Chris, you are flying in on Frontier right? I'm on United so I don't think it is the same flight.

I don't get into L.A. until about 5:30pm local. So I figure I should be at the hotel no later than 7 or 7:30.

The Bash doesn't start until 8:00pm so there should be no problem giving you a ride to the bash. I'll private mail you with my info so we can work out the details.

Sam and Mike might. I think Wade and I are going to do the Gala before the Bash. If we can't get into the Gala, then I'm pretty sure the Bash will be the main event.

    ....And me.

    Virgin Atlantic Flight 7

Arriving at LAX somewhere around 3:30 PM on Saturday

I may be staying with family in San Diego...but we may get a hotel a little farther in the city too. I just don't know yet. It depends on who goes besides me and my uncle.

I'll be getting there after the summit, so I wont be going to that.

It depends on whether or not i can get tickets. Or if i would rather attend the supporters bash.

I'll definitley be at the bash at some point...i just dont know when yet.

    127, baby!

Leaving LAX at 6:00 or thereabouts on Sunday.

I'll figure out transport when I get there.

OK, what is going to be brought with us in the way of drums and flags and such? I'll probably try and find a way to get my drum over there somehow (my uncle's meeting me in LA coming from KC...I could just have him bring it) , and as long as that goes I figure i might as well bring the "Kansas City" USA flag, too.

But I cant help but think that the additions of the Big Ass Drum, as well as at least the big checkered flag or the "Forza Wiz" banner would make a HELL of a lot of difference in making 127 as homely as possible.

Spoon? Sam? Matt? Is this even possible?

I know the flag and forza wiz banner are going. I'm bringing the Igor banner. The people in my hotel room are hoping to make a bunch of signs for the game when we get there. Signs for players, anti-Freddy and the obligatory ABC sign. We are open to suggestions on that one. I figure something with Bob's name for the B.

Hopefully Sam is working with the Wizards - we got an indication pre-Final that the Wizards might help get the big drum to LA.

The checkered flag has to make the trip. Has to.

That would be way sweet. I think we should get as much percussion as possible into the section.

...and, yes, that means I want more cowbell.

Just thought i would go ahead and get that joke out of the way. One less thing to worry about. :)

As I said before, I think in another thread...

The checkered flag and Forza Wiz banner are with me. I'm using my big ass suitcase to get them out there. (As for how I'm going to get clothes to LA, that's another story...)
I'm hearing that there was some trouble getting flags/banners in to HDC last year. Definitely don't take anything that's on a pole. I've contacted the LA FO trying to make sure there won't be any issues with our Big Flag.
And Sam told me yesterday that the drum would be there.

Step One : wear Cargo pants.

Step Two: stuff every possible pocket with clothing items.

Step Three: relax. You have found the solution.

I've got a FEVER . . . and the prescription is MORE COWBELL!

Anyway, good news: you got two more in the Cauldron West on Saturday!
As KCFutbol said, He who hesitates, pays more . . .
We managed to swing it with our schedules so my wife and I will be there.
Had a lot of things to shuffle around to do this, but you know what the main driver was? The away leg of the San Jose series. Watching that game on TV was absolutely painful. PAINFUL. We reasoned that LIVE, we haven't seen the Wiz lose, let alone even give up a GOAL, in the past seven games. Plus, we're going to need as many voices as we can get - seeing as how we're up against the Screaming Eagles and Barra Brava . . .

I don't have any flags or anything but I was going to bring some GOAL cards. (you know, those ones they hand out at arrowhead). Are we going to have much "wall space" for hanging flags? I could put something together between now and Saturday.
