That would be cool. I guess it is the reward for building a SSS. Maybe the Rapids can play in it too.

There's always a chance for an early season storm in Colorado in October and November, but that wouldn't be any worse than playing in Foxboro. Just remember the Nor'easter in the first ever MLS Cup in '96. I can't imagine the MLS will ever have to deal with conditions like that again for their championship match.

Colorado fans tend to show for big events, I would think that the MLS Cup would get good attendance, probably better than most people expect, at least 40,000 I think.

Good way to keep cozy warm during a snowstorm :)

    I'm realiable...

anyways, part of the deal with Kroenke was that he got rights to host a MLS Cup when his stadium was built...

the 07 part is just me guessing (educated guess)...

the earliest Colorado could host the cup is 2006, but Harrison is supposed to be done then and I'm guessing that a new SSS for the MetroStars would get the Cup that year...

Maybe by 2007 the season will start in late August and run until late May so that we will play the Cup when it is a little warmer. I hope they build at least 25,000 seats in the new stadium.

This past Sunday (December 7th) it was 62 degrees at noon... I don't know too many people that would complain about that. :)

A cup in early/mid November in Denver has a better chance of being sunny and warm than it does cloudy and cold.

I'd have to agree with you. However, for some reason, the threat of bad weather, and those nationally televised snow games that the Broncos always seem to play, has the decision makers on the east coast convinced that Denver is snowbound from November through March.

After living in New England for 2 years, trust me, things are much worse here in October, November and December than in Denver, even with the threat of an occasional snowstorm.

Eventually, Denver will get it's due and land the MLS Cup, but it shouldn't have taken a SSS to get it in the first place.

Ideally I think every MLS cup should only ever be in a SSS, and if we don't have one we don't deserve it.

    ssssshhhhhh

I moved out here from New England. People aren't supposed to know that there isn't 6 months of winter in Denver. :) It's true though, MLS Cup 99's mid 60 degree day was a great stroke of luck. 40 would have been more likely.
