Do we as season ticket holders get a good shot at tickets even if FCD isn't playing (which they will be, but just in case).
i would hope so, but i imagine the league will mandate either a limited number of tickets set aside, or no tickets set aside.
When Houston hosted the Super Bowl last? year, they had the season ticket holders in a lottery for their allotment. Granted that is a much grander scale, but would not be surprised......
that's what i was thinking - a few thousand tickets allotted for a lottery or something for the season ticket holders. winners of the lottery get the chance to buy tickets and everyone else gets to try to obtain them like normal schmoes.
The normal way they do it is either include MLS Cup in the season ticket package, or give all season ticket holders a deadline to buy their seats for MLS Cup. After the deadline the seats are released for general sale. They don't need a lottery because no team sells enough season tickets to fill even half of the stadium.
We will not have problems getting tickets. Even with flexis (we need to discuss flexis tomorrow BTW) we get the same benefits as season SEAT holders. We will have first chance to buy MLS Cup 05 tickets before they go on sale to the general public. The last thing the FO wants is a cup final on national TV in a half full stadium. MLS Cup 2005 it will be a party!
Bold move by the league. Given the complete gutting of the Dallas market fanbase in the last two years, this is showing a lot of confidence in GE/HSG to be able to deliver a respectable crowd for the '05 final. Hopefully, this added pressure will play into our, the fans, hands. An exciting season would certainly help their efforts to pull off an exciting well-attended final.
If KC is back in it, we should be OK. We really need more teams in the league to have more teams three to four hours away from each other and create some good rivalries. Of course if Dallas is in it then no brainer. Let’s go Dallas against KC.

During halftime of MLS CUP Garber was talking about all the new stadiums that are being built. Dallas 2005, Chicago, Colorado, and Metrostars 2006. They showed a picture of your stadium and it had a upper deck and a roof on one side, was that a mistake or are you guys getting a roof over one side of the stands.
uhhh...yes??? We were going to get a roof - but cost overruns led to it being nixed (though we all live in hope that it will be added at a later time). Go to the fcdallas.net site and look for the link to the site dedicated to FSEC build.
No, no, no. You want to show the public the vision, not the reality. The public's not always so keen on the reality.
If we get season tickets, do we get tickets or reduced price tickets for the Cup (assuming FC Dallas isn't in the Cup Final)?
