Can someone explain this process? This means that an MLS team can compete in Copa Sudamericana like the Mexican teams? How about Concacaf?

There aren't any CONCACAF teams in Copa Sudamericana.

No, I did not explain myself

I've heard that the MLS teams can compete on Copa Sudamericana and also on some Concacaf competition, I don't know the name.
Didn't the UNAM and Cruz Azul played not too long ago in one of this? Well what about our MLS teams?

You probably mean the Cope Libratadores. MLS might be offered a slot sometime in the future. However, It would be helpful if MLS teams could be a bit more dominant in the CCC,first.

(BTW, the CONCACAF Champions Cup was cut back to 8 teams for next year.)

These international competitions point up where MLS' lack of depth really, really hurts. Latest case in point: Chivas thrashed the Quakes B team last night.
