MLS has several owners like Fisher. Hope, as the news anchor said, the league (MLS) finds a spine a forces a sale on them.
Maybe if they followed the old EFL practise prior to the open pyramid of putting the bottom team or two teams up for re-election, with non-league teams competing for the spot. Until the 1970s you had to be really, really bad year after year, or really unlucky, not to be re-elected
Sporting KC fell short vs. LAFC in the US Open Cup Final, but what does that mean for Head Coach Peter Vermes 🤔@tombogert & @CharlieDavies9 discuss the future of the club as well as what changes need to be made ⚽ pic.twitter.com/lCD5NECCZA— Golazo America (@GolazoAmerica) September 26, 2024
The ownership group at #AustinFC are all high net worth, highly successful business people. How do they look at this picture and not realize that so much of the initial goodwill & enthusiasm in the city for the club has been lost due to their unwillingness to act/change? pic.twitter.com/mWa38CHVc4— Adrian Healey (@AdrianHealey) September 29, 2024
I think "what it means" is that KC are forced to endure several more years of Peter Vermes, with his constant shouting and scowling.
Coach Josh Wolff fired by Austin after missing playoffs for 2nd consecutive year https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ot...onsecutive-year/ar-AA1rMYKD?ocid=BingNewsVerp Thx, Jay!
And NEEEEEW Chicago Fire head coach! "Only missed the playoffs for TWO years?!? Sounds perfect!"-Chicago Fire brain trust. Sadly, Wolff is probably: Better than Klopas. Better than Berhalter.
Berhalter joins Dumpster Fire as sporting director. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/58...o-fire-coach-usmnt?source=user-shared-article I'm sure I typed in Chicago.
Gregg Berhalter is the Chicago Fire's new Director of Football and Head Coach! The path to tomorrow starts today 👊 #cf97 pic.twitter.com/W8FAfrgVOM— Chicago Fire FC (@ChicagoFire) October 8, 2024
Berhalter wasn't bad at Columbus, even got them to a cup final. He wasn't terrible with the USMNT either. Chicago's problems run much deeper than just coaching staff. Hopefully y'all can straighten that out with this new hire. Even if Gregggg doesn't win you an MLS Cup, I foresee at least some improvement.
