Anyone go watch it in High Def? It was a really, really clear scoreless draw. :)

DC-Colorado? I'd rather watch A.I. again. (horrible horrible movie)

What a waste of a movie screen.

    Nope not in High Def.

I hate to admit that I was there ... but I was. One of the absolute worst games I have ever experienced. Pathetic!!! Neither team wanted to be out there last night. No movement off the ball. Spencer stunk up the place. (Ever since his surgeries he hasn't been the same... maybe he should consider retiring). More injuries. I think we will be starting the Boulder Rapids (PDL) team soon. Looked like a bunch of High School girls out there. (I shouldn't say that because there may be some high school girls teams that could beat these two last night).

also 7,614 is a generous number

What was the Metrostars attendance last night? (Inside joke with anyone who sat through the make-your-eyes-bleed-ugly NBA finals game last night.)

    Generous no, outright fraud yes.
I know, they count tickets sold. If there were 3,000 there not counting ushers I'll eat my shorts.

Looks like a horrible day at the Meadowlands. There are probably only about 1000 or 2000 people in the stands. It sounds like similar weather is expected for DC tonight, so we may be looking at yet another "bad" attendance weekend in MLS.

one of the shots looked like there were lots of people up higher underneath the overhang of the second deck. since it is raining.

Second half did look good. A lot of missed chances for the Metro,s. Arena,s kid needs work not ready for prime time yet, both Metros defenders were out muscled by Ralph big time. EPL is calling Ralph.

Wow, they really must have been hiding under the awning for large stretches of the match. It was weird because it was actually pretty vocal but it looked practically empty. I can't say I believe it but I also can't say that I don't believe it.

Just talked to the inlaws who are at a Minor League game in Bowie, in a rain delay. Look for heavy rain in DC.

They had a lot of no-shows or inventive counting.

Today is the Blues Festival tie-in at Denver. They were hoping to draw 30k for this match.

People buying tickets to the Blues Festival get Rapids tix, people buying Rapids tix get Blues Festival tix, so all of those will be reported as sales. Don't expect 30k in the stands, even if they make their objective.

Is that number of tickets sold, or number through the turnstiles?

Looking around the stadium I thought it looked and sounded like around 16,000. I really didn't expect to see half that number, since all morning and afternoon there were warnings of severe weather - which pretty much started right before the game began. At that point, everyone just moved into sheltered seats (except for the ESC) and out of the ESPN camera's view.

There were actually quite a few NJ Devil fans there because in the early afternoon they had a congratulatory Stanley Cup celebration type thing in the Arena parking lot, right outside Giants Stadium.

I think it would have been a very good crowd if the weather was better.
Even without our best players, people are beginning to realize there is some entertaining soccer going on at the Meadowlands. Especially at midfield, with Ricardo Clark and Guevara.
