Having rewatched the goal, I can say that I have no idea what Ream could have done to prevent, besides being closer to rooney and taking the ball from him. He is close to rooney, but roo sees berbatovs run and passes it to him, if ream backs off he still would have passed it to him imo. Berbatov did get a running start and Cameron was a bit behind him and he couldn't do muc at that point given how the ball was behind him. Berbatov just shielded the ball and bumped him a bit which is his main fault.
