Either Falkirk or Monaco. MLS volunteered to pay for the air-fare and motel.

Commissioner Pick: Freddy Adu? Might as well, this ASG gets worst every year.

I don't remember seeing that "Starball" representation used since 1999 before.

But maybe I wasn't paying attention.

Ohhhh...it appears that you can vote as often as you like. Ballot-stuffing, anyone? I can't wait to hear Ty Keogh say "Richie Williams, leading vote-getter, with his second yellow card in only the 11th minute."

    i'd love to see
Adu get the comish's pick and timmy howard leave ManU for the day to come back and play in goal.

This year's logo is just bizarre. It looks like...I don't know, but it looks strange.

Maybe the prestigious international club will be Oliver's mythical Los Angeles side in the MFL.

How about Blackburn with Friedel in the posts?

They play DC United a week before the All Star game.

To those speculating it'll be ManU -- they play 2 days before in NJ and the next day in Phily. Not very likely.

The most likely of the big names touring is AC Milan -- they only have 1 game on the schedule over here.

I don't know, for some reason it reminded me of the rose bowl logo. A subliminal reminder that the HDC has replaced the Rose Bowl?

Man U, Barcelona and Juventus are pretty much ruled out because they all play on the East Coast on July 31 or August 3, or both.

Well, I gotta say that I think that MLS is doing the all star game right, by having the team play a "prestigious club". (Assuming that the club really is "prestigious".) East v. West never interested me all that much--the problem is lack of incentive to play hard. Last year with the US National Team, I thought it was a terrific game. With a "prestigious" club, players will want to go out and beat them. Perhaps they should design a trophy for the winners: The MLS All-Star Cup.

It is a bit obnoxious. The colors of maroon, green and yellow just don't seem to mesh real well here.

MLS should remember that sometimes less is more. Its like they are trying to outdo NFL Superbowl logos. They're trying too hard. Just relax...let it flow.

One of the best shields MLS did was after 9-11. The Statue of Liberty over the US flag. It looked crisp, calm and classic. Very understated. And it worked. It was perfect.

This one is a bit garish. But I like the actual format of the AG game.

Bought the patch at MLS Cup 2001. It's still on my goalkeeper jersey.

I don't undertsand why the MLS All-Star game can't join the rest of the world and have Atomic Kitten play at the game just like at the Champions League Final.

    :)

And in the unlikely event of rain, they end the first half early and go straight to the Atomic Kitten performance.
