You gotta love the deal, Mark Cuban's interest in emerging investment opportunities makes him a great partner for the league. Not to mention the Lord has truly blessed those MLS fans with HDNet at home. I had my first chance at watching the NFL playoffs & SuperBowl in HD this year and man, and judging by how well the entire field of vision was represented, MLS in HD should be eye-popping! My only two questions are why didn't ESPN HD think of this first, and why isn't there more than one Metros game scheduled!?!?

Don't you need a high definition TV to get the benefits of watching something in HDTV?

    Ted,
You're right, you'd need a TV capable of displaying either 720p or 1080i, the two signal types most common in HD, and you'd need either a satellite or a cable box able to recieve the signal via a carrier, in this case DirectTV. Some sets might have the HD receiver built in, I haven't researched in a while...
    btw, your quote rocks :)
