There is a USL attendance thread if you want to just post numbers for USL games. If you want to include the numbers in the larger context of what it means in relation to MLS, feel free to post here, but if all you are doing is just posting USL numbers, this probably isn't the right thread.
I don't follow USL threads, but I think it's nice to see them here now again due to the novelty and to get a sense of how willing fans are to return. MLS will not have any fans in attendance for at least a month, if at all, so loosely related attendance numbers are interesting to me!
Then maybe you should follow USL threads? But again, while just posting USL numbers is frowned upon, if someone wants to use them in the larger analysis that you described, they are more than welcome to. The numbers, on their own, are meaningless and do not provide any sense of what they could mean for MLS.
I think they are interesting in both showing intrinsic interest in soccer and how many fans are allowed for various cities across the country. So far in USL, Indy and Louisville seem to be drawing the best which bodes well for FCC (along with making the knockout rounds).
Indy always drew well, while Louisville has a new stadium smell. FCC has also drawn well, but what it all means for Columbus is not clear. Probably not much.
5,400 in Indy might end up an attendance record for the post pandemic season unless MLS ends up allowing fans in some markets.

Despite Texas recently experiencing a surge in coronavirus cases, FC Dallas will host the first US major league sports game with fans in attendance since the start of the pandemic https://t.co/B5qQCN7Mmt— CNN Breaking News (@cnnbrk) August 12, 2020 The msm noticed.
In an entirely foreseeable turn of events, mask wearing among fans was not very good at the FC Dallas game pic.twitter.com/PXynKb8M7A— Ryan Rosenblatt (@RyanRosenblatt) August 13, 2020 Masks optional.
I know it is a lot worse down there but from that pic mask wearing seems to be a lot better than in Vancouver currently.
The evidence shows that transmission is very difficult in such outdoor settings especially during the day. Hence the protests not creating much spread. Personally I’d still wear a mask.
Why? They lead the league in attendance. The rest of the league has failed to garner even 1 ticket sale from at least 3 games each. Move all of MLS to Dallas?
