Well, I definitely wrote what I did on purpose. Of course I had ZERO idea how effective it would be, though I would love to take all credit.

According to the MLS game tracker, Josef's 2 goals were almost taken from the same location.

disappointing but hard to not conclude hyndman has found his level and will have to now really work to maintain it

I believe the next goal FCC surrenders will break the all time record.

    A reminder for Dan Gargan...

Unlike Arthur Blank and Mercedes-Benz, Loon ownership had to pay to get Allianz Field built out of their own pockets.

Mercedez-Benz has $200 million coming from bonds associated with hotel-motel taxes, but $200 million comes from the NFL and the remaining from bank loans and private investment. Blank was supposed to be responsible for cost overruns over the $1.5 billion. He may have to spend $100 million of his own money if that is correct.

Allianz field cost $250 million while having tax breaks and while infrastructure work provided. So, not purely without assistance. Maybe there is some equivalency when looking at scale.

    Golden Boot will be interesting.

I think the games Vela missed (3) for injury offset the games Josef was away for Venezuela call-ups.

It is really amazing to see how many of FCC's bigger signings flat out failed this year. Tyton in goal? Pretty much beat out by a 27 year old with 90 MLS minutes to his name. Bertone? 1 goal (10 minutes into the season) and 2 assists. Deplange? Unremarkable. Stanko? TAM signing and has been meh in his <1500 minutes.

Within MLS you had Waston? Ok, but they dropped 750k on him so meh. Hagglund? 300k in combined money and an allocation slot which became Omar Gonzalez? HAHAHAHAHA. Manneh? 300k (upwards of 400k) for 4 goals and 3 assists. Powell? 250k in GAM for 968 unremarkable minutes. Adi? Let'd not even think about that one.

Heck, the only players I can really say they have done alright with are Richey, Amaya, Cruz, and probably Ledesma and/or Waston.

"Duncan was sitting there making a run" - Shep Messing.

    Makes for an intersting visual.

This game is a blast so far. Crazy end-to-end stuff in Portland.

Yeah, I don't know how Portland did not score on that break a couple minutes ago.

How does Armas ALWAYS manage to look so confused every single time the camera pans over to him on the sideline?

My only comment on tonight's FC Cincinnati game is an expansion team losing 2:0 to last year's Cup winner isn't bad.

It was the rest of the year that totally sucked.

That said, they have liked much better the last two or three weeks.

The evening games are decent, but the scoring chances have dried up.

    Are you kidding me?

That's two sitters Portland has missed. If they lose, they deserve it.
