I have family visiting and was playing games tonight with the game running on my phone behind me. What I did managed to see was a hell of a performance by the Timbers GK and not much else from Portland. A game the Rapids would have taken a point from going in felt like two points dropped coming out.

    Except...

    We didn't pick Wonderwall.

The players did. They sung it to the supporters first after a home playoff win back in the NASL days...and it took off.

Wonderwall is as organic as it gets for pretty much anything in American soccer.

I'm 62 years old. Never heard of Oasis. But I know all the words to Wonderwall. :)

Well, given the proximity to Minneapolis, it would be the coolest thing ever if they'd come up with a Replacements song to sing.

Shame on Wimbledon, taking away the attention from the Cricket World Cup Final. How dare they not only play on the same day, but in the same country and the same location and at the same time. Show some respect.

Also, we apparently have a tie and a super over tiebreak. Although, technically England is all out. This seems to be a grey area in the rules.

Yeah, one of the more obvious excessive force tackles this season. What's unfortunate is that it never happens if the Rubio foul was caught at the top of the penalty area just prior.

The super over for the CWC and the tiebreaker at the same time. What timing.

If the game is tied, each team gets 6 balls.

The game was still tied after that and England won by scoring more boundries. Basically, England won because they hit more home runs.***

***I know that is an oversimplification.

Yes it was! I thought Djokovic was toast after the 4th set. The crowd wasn't really against him, but you could tell most people at Centre Court wanted Federer to win.

Miles Robinson needs to wake up. Letting Ruidiaz ghost in behind him for a near goal is unacceptable. In fact that is nearly the same exact thing that happened to him against the Red Bulls mid-week, deep in stoppage time, that allowed BWP to tie the game at 2.

Roldan making that run and not finishing the chance is why he'll never be a useful player for the US against anyone but the dregs of Concacaf.

Twellman keeps insisting its Pity Martinez for ******** sake.

It’s Josef Martinez that’s on the ball the last 3 minutes.

TT is gushing over Roldan when he completely ********ed up that play by not passing or shooting early.
