PBP: MLS 2017 Week 30 Continuous PBP Thread [Multiple R]

So much ref stats to compile last night for 19 games. I'll post in a little while.

It is HOT tonight in the ATL. While acknowledging that schedule congestion due to the Benz is part of the problem, I'm glad this exhausted team is not at Bobby Dodd tonight.

 

Hamid is out for DC United, with a back injury. Steve Clark will start in his place.

 

Parkhurst not in the 18.

Charlie Davies will be running behind. LGP and Jeff Larentowicz.

There will be goals.

 

My bad. Had no idea Davies wasn't a starter.

 

Did you actually find one? When I've posted these threads recently I've had to type up the whole thing by hand. PITA.

 

Trying something new this week. It's been clear from various interactions that what people really want to know is how many cards a referee averages for just their team vs their opponents. Let me know what you think.

Also please note that I've made a few corrections to some games from earlier this season where I missed a few cautions, 3 total if I remember correctly. This won't affect the numbers too much, more for the individual referees than anything else.

Some particularly head-scratching assignments this week. Geiger goes to Atlanta for the third time already. Chapman gets Toronto and RBNY for the third time in two seasons. Toledo and Stott get reverse fixtures from games they did earlier this year. Strange.

 

Will I finally get to watch Seattle win a game? (Hasn't happened since June).

 

Why break a good habit now after so many positive months?

 

Prediction: Newly out linesman Matthew Nelson will get much love from inclusive Supporters' Section (Y'all means all)...... and will feel scorn and wrath heaped upon him and his offspring should he call Martinez offside.



Because any linesman calling Martinez offside should feel scorn and wrath.

During the walk-out, I noticed they have a large crest with the A touching the top (it isn't a print but made of something).

 

I saw that as well - my eyes immediately went to the A touching the top just to see, and sure enough it did.
