Jack Harrison is having a very good year, but is naturally overshadowed by David Villa. NYC looks like they could take MLS Cup.

In case anyone is wondering, and I'm pretty sure no one is, Miami and Tampa Bay do in fact have identical PPG. San Jose has a very slight edge on RSL.
Meh, If NYCFC plays TFC in the playoffs it will be a EC final and NYCFC will have Chanot and Mataritta back and the they are big upgrades over Brillant and Sweat (although he's be doing well for a backup). I think they could take TFC with a healthy team but both teams need to play someone else before that happens and in playoffs anything can happen.
If you are worried about the impact of Irma on Atlanta vs. Dallas, and we all know that's the most important thing, the forecast for Sunday is good with the remnants of the storm due to hit the area on Monday.
I appreciate your thoughts and I mean no offence. But assuming TFC doesn't shit the bed and TFC has home for 2nd leg, it will be depending on what the score is after the first leg. Anytime a team has to chase a result vs TFC esp at BMO Field and has to open up, TFC takes advantage of more space in the midfield and I think TFC has more weapons than NYCFC to create chances, while I feel NYCFC relies far too much on Villa. Vieira tried to play a conservative defence vs TFC at BMO Field and it didn't work, because NYCFC is a team that plays possession based attacking game. Even with all of NYCFC's first team defenders, I don't feel NYCFC is defensively solid. And NYCFC doesn't nearly have the depth that TFC has. I feel TFC is 2 deep at most positions.
I hear you and yeah It would be a tough match for sure NYCFC hasn't been healthy when they've met TFC and the parts missing are significant. The wider pitch also helps NYCFC's game as well (they have the second best away record in the league) and I think that Vieira is a quick learner and will make the adjustments needed to play better. The midfield of Herrera and Ring with Lewis and Harrison on the wings plus a healthy Villa is a dangerous thing and honestly I think they could get a good result with a healthy back line. Again though both teams need to get there first and I've seen way to many supporters shield winners shit the bed in the playoffs to say its a guaranteed EC final between both teams.
I think Vieira is the 'secret' weapon if NYCFC goes to MLS Cup Final. The way he's been able to adapt to MLS while getting NYCFC to play his brand of football as a guy with no prior MLS experience is pretty amazing.
Commentators on espn said Jozy and Sloane Stephens have known each other since fifth grade. He's in the player's box again. Moments later the other commentator confused Sloane for Venus Williams.
Fun times. Like watching a stream when EJ and Adu both played in Greece, and announcer kept confusing the two, despite the fact that THEY HAD DIFFERENT NUMBERS ON THEIR BACKS.
Given the history of non-MLS coaches taking reins in MLS, his efforts are laudable, for sure. If not this year, maybe next. An interesting question will be what it does for his career as a manager?
What's sad is that the way Vieira coaches is the way the CFG wanted Kreis to coach (Possession team with pressing aspects) but he simply didn't do it and I honestly think that is what really got him fired. The team spent a lot of money signing him and sending him to Manchester to learn the system they wanted him to implement and he just shat the bed and didn't play anything similar to what NYCFC currently does. With regards to his career, AS Saint-Étienne wanted to make him their manager but he shot it down and I think the more success he has with NYCFC will only make more clubs stand up and take notice.
