Glad somebody here was watching the game. Though I'm pretty sure they're updating the definition of ugly win to include a link to this one.
Gals 4 Quakes 2 FT. Two teams that will happy to make the playoffs, if they can. The Gals are on a winning streak, but it's only a matter of time before their defense collapses.
Yeah, who knows what the front office has told him. Arena seemed to have as much control as an MLS coach can have. Onalfo will get no such advantages. We shall see...
Onalfo, seems to be riding a Jill Ellis wave of success whereby injuries have forced his hand in putting the right players in the right position and winning as a result., Jones should be back to piss in the pool soon enough
You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone! The Chicago Fire are now in second place. And not for the Spoon.
This may be one of the nuttier statistical anomalies I've ever seen in MLS. LAG: best team in the league away, worst team in the league at home. HOU: worst team in the league away, best team in the league at home.
I really hate the Klinsmann cam. Saudis are willing to concede possession like they did against Ecuador. They want to counter.
The US does not appear prepared for the start of this game once again. I'm not sure about the Peruvian team in blue calling this game.
It's stop and go. The ref is blowing his whistle for everything and anything. The US seems to have expected a different team.
It seems like half of the players on the field have a yellow card and will be suspended for the next match, but the US scores first.
They settled down after the first 15 or so minutes. They didn't expect Saudi Arabia to be physical and aggressive to start the game. I wanted to assume the commentary was bad and the first yellow to come out against a Saudi player was for persistent infringement. Instead, they may have been right that the threshold in the midfield drastically dropped.
That's horrible officiating. Carter-Vickers sent off for a second yellow due a 50/50 in the air at midfield just before half. The center called a foul and a little while alter the fourth official may have made a call in time. "That's ********ing shit" are his words. Three US players suspended for the next match so far.
Tab just got a talking to. It appears the threshold for foul in the midfield has been raised greatly.
1-1 Set pieces. Set pieces. Set pieces. Nobody marked the goal scorer for a free header from a CK. Saudi now in a position to advance in the tournament.
LOL No, nobody should fear us. Respect, perhaps. However...might not be a bad idea for The Bruce to put Christian Ramirez on his short list of, "Guys I might want to take a closer look at..."
