No DC sports fans bought into that line of thought at all. For starters, ******** Baltimore. No DC sports fan gives a ******** about that series. Game 5... meh. The Wizards should've at least split the first two games in Boston if they want to take the series. Game 7... against the Pens... we've seen this before.
There's your first problem. They know what the Caps are? DC sports radio is horrible. I prefer random bum******** nowhere over DC. I wish the Caps had been swept.
Your problem is that you actually thought they would win game 7. I argued on the job with my co-worker, telling him there was no way they would win. They and the Nationals are nothing if not consistent in finding ways to lose series they should win in the playoffs.
I never thought they would win Game 7. After the early hole, I genuinely wanted them to be swept. Look at the Nats trying to irritate me even more and come back in the 9th. It's not going to happen. Stop.
******** Baltimore for ********ing up the perfect night of DC sports. ******** Maryland. Of course it would be the former O with the walkoff single.
No, but I've read the book and seen the movie. Quite a lot to live up to between those two already, so I've been hesitant.
The "unavailable" XI for RSL this weekend is much better than the available group (just 14 players - including the brand-new signing - practiced yesterday): Rimando; Beltran, Horst, Glad, Acosta; Beckerman, Allen, Rusnák; Lennon, Barrett, Saucedo. Available: Van Oekel; Wingert, Maund, Schmidt, Phillips; Sunny, Mulholland, Holness; Plata, Movsisyan, Silva Hell of a time to play three games in eight days.
Contact needs to be UNINTENTIONAL for triple jeopardy exception to apply. Crew GK seemed to have just grabbed Altidore's leg. Also, the guy that gets fouled should never take the kick.....Pires used to take 'em for Henry.....
It's nice to see West Brom fans staying in their seats to applaud Chelsea. That sort of sporting behavior doesn't happen enough in sport.
So, Friday night soccer on my first night back from Europe? Normally I'd be excited, but it is either 1:30 AM and I've been up since 6:30 AM or it is 8:30 PM and I've been up since 1:30 AM. Time changes sure suck. I'm going to fall asleep on the keyboard before halftime. Least it could have been was a Rapids game, then I'd know I wouldn't miss anything.
Jet lag - one of the great joys of life. I find whenever I travel to/from Europe I wake up at 3:30 am like clockwork.
Time for Cascadia at Texas - Rain vs Sun. In my opinion, two teams that are a bit more difficult to figure out just how good (or bad) they are.
LOL ... "BBVA has hosted world stars like Lionel Messi and Kenny Chesney" Never thought I'd hear those two in the same sentence
