I didn't realize MLS is on FOX this weekend until I saw the ad during the MLB ASG coverage on FOX. Good look by FOX to promote during one of the first block of ads for the actual game.

I spend time on the Iroquois Nation and sporting nation-hood in one of my classes. It's a neat quirk of international sport, and the idea that sporting "cultural hearths" get special consideration is a good one. True, but back in the day the Iroquois played on a field that was a mile long, and used a rock instead of the rubber ball used today. Lacrosse was also played as a preparation/substitute for War.
