I won't blame him for the second goal, but I agree, I thought he went down way too quick on the first.
I'm blaming you for this. Everything TFC touches turns to shit. So you guys signed Bradley just to screw us over in this WC.
Ya know, you could be onto something. Julio Caesar has had some nervy moments in goal for Brazil. Now, he won't be tested much by Cameroon (I think), but he better be on guard against Chile or Netherlands.
When teams chase a game with Ghana, they have the ability to and tend to run up the score. Like England in 2010. In 2010, Ghana was in a similar position to us, and they ended up taking a 0-1 loss to Germany in the last game and got through on GD over Australia who got beat 4-0 in the initial game.
Hey at least Hackworth wasn't the coach. Losing the win by giving up a goal for a late draw would be a win for him
I'm gonna "say" this once. I'm gonna say it here and never again. If we managed to beat Ghana on the first matchday .... and Ghana knocks us out anyway on the third matchday..... there's some CRAZY juju going on for that Ghanian-born player whose name shall not be mentioned. Soccer Gods...... I fear you.
I'm a grown man with grown-man responsibilities and grown-man problems.... and I'm not going to be able to sleep until we are out of this tournament. This is absurd. This is foolishness. It's just a damn game. Someone please take me out behind the woodshed and put a slug in my brain
How awesome would that finish have been if it happened in some other game? Wild tournament all the way through.

So US vs Germany...does the guy from the last US vs Germany again show up in a WWI uniform urging us to "beat the krauts?" Watching the game on Univision (FU TWC), it was nice to hear the very complimentary speak of many of our players Jermaine and many of the MLSers in particular
Upon reflection, the fluke result of this group was Germany's 4-0 pasting of Portugal. The Portuguese played 60 minutes with only 10 men, and many writers and commentators indicated that their keeper should have done better to stop 2 of their goals. Turn that rout into a 2-0 German victory, and Group G would be total chaos on Thursday.
I thought about it for a long time at the gym. I've come to a definite conclusion. I realize today that I am in an abusive relationship with the USMNT. For more than 20 years I have given this team all my devotion and support. But what do I get in return? Continual emotional and mental abuse. Still, I keep going back.
Any thoughts on the new espn SportsCenter sets and graphics? I like the almost Metro UI inspired look (it's not too busy and more like FS1) and that it is made to not take away from the event screen, but it's currently a lot of wasted space if they don't plan to constantly run multiple lines on the ticker. The set looks versatile, but it makes the anchors look small. Actually, it looks like espn is cropping the left side of highlights with the graphics. I don't think they have this all figured out right now.
