Speaking from experience, when you have a team that's convinced you have it in for them, it's virtually guaranteed that you'll do some dumb mistake like that. Usually not that dumb.
Sorry, I was taking a dinner break. Wife was due with our second kid yesterday--I'm doing primary childcare while we play the waiting game. Anyway, I don't know much about Ft. Smith, but I'd guess Pullman is more remote, better educated, smaller, and more picturesque. Ft. Smith probably has access to better retail, too (ie more than just WalMart and amazon.com).
Is all of the stadium noise in Sandy real? Something didn't sound right when the broadcast returned from commercial.
Fort Smith loses a lot of points simply by being right next to Oklahoma. Also, I really dislike their high school quiz bowl teams.
He's almost a poster child for mid-career MLS referees. It's not that he's consistently bad, it's that when he goes off the rails - he really goes off the rails. It's the lack of consistency. He'll make the brilliant call but screw up the game management. He didn't affect the outcome tonight. Better game management, however, might have mitigated Dorman's frustrated lunge at Kamara - which could have an affect on the following games for both teams.
Loving all the hate for Brad Feldman. There's never a game that goes by where I don't end up yelling at my TV because of something stupid he said.
Ft. Smith and it's lack of anything to do with it's money is why the Choctaw Nation & Cherokee Nation have constructed casinos in close proximity to it.
He's definitely not a player's referee. He reminds me a lot of some of the more persnickety Latin American referees. Like Marco Rodriguez but less consistent.
I will always remember a HS Quiz Bowl team member shouting "VAMPIRE BATS!" in an event I participated in many moons ago. Great enthusiasm; unfortunately the question was "Name the geologic formation that hangs down in caves."
