What if your problem is that you don't have Rocky III available as a reference? :sneaky:

If you haven't seen Rocky III, then you won't understand Rocky IV, Rocky V, or Rocky Balboa, and that would be just terrible.

It's been almost 30 years since I first watched Nanook of the North as an undergrad and I haven't seen it since. That was easily the most memorable scene from the ethnographic film, evidenced by it being the only scene I remember.

The other film I remember from that class was on the Mbuti Pygmies of the Congo. In that film there is a classic scene where one of the Mbuti emerges from inside a slain elephant. Classic stuff.

In these power rankings, you're as good as your last match. So if you get a statement victory, you move up. If you don't get the job done, you will move down.

If you look at the previous rankings regarding MTL, they were much lower, so this was a move up. Let's see if they can do it again.

This might sound completely crazy, but, uh, have you considered the concept of a girlfriend team?

You know, a team not your own that you temporarily develop an interest in?

I dunno, one way to add some meaning and cheer to your miserable existence :p

Read this in the newspaper yesterday: http://www.startribune.com/local/east/213325031.html

That's one hell of a hike carrying a kayak to go around those dams. Hope it opens up for ya!

That's exactly how I got interested in Chivas USA. :D

Anyway, soccer doesn't exist to make people happy.

Hey! I read that yesterday too. :)

If they don't open up its going to be a bitch. I'm building a skin-on-frame kayak with aluminum conduit for my inside passage trip (you can take these apart and put them together in 10-15 minutes and they are very light)...but I may be wishing I had done so for this. Hopefully it calms because I'm going either way.

Anyway, good to see MLS wanting to begin and end on high notes with TFC the first game and Chivas the last (well, with LA-SJ).

This just blew my mind. The truth of it is overwhelming.

#RSL XI: (4-3-3): Rimando; Palmer, Borchers, Maund, Beltran; Beckerman, Alvarez, Morales; Plata, Sandoval, Garcia

#RSL BENCH: Saunders, Mansally, Salcedo, Velasquez, Grabavoy, Stephenson, Findley

Aaron Maund vs Danny Koevermans... anyone else see Koevermans getting a hat trick lol

loss of form, while Koevermans potted 2 in reserve game mid week and Brockie has been solid coming off the bench. Earnshaw out with a knock.

I think Nelsen wants to play more direct today, putting 2 big guys up front

It looks like RSL will uncharacteristically be going 4-3-3 with 2 D-mids against TFC today. Sabo has already left for Costa Rica. Wingert not even on the bench is weird. I hadn't heard of any knock. We might be resting him since Beltran will be gone, and he may even need to fill in at CB this month like he did a bit last year.

Aaron Maund, who played for TFC as a rookie last year, is starting despite an awful showing in the Lamar Hunt Open Cup. He's our #5CB, with #2(Schuler) and #3(Watson-Siriboe) out inured, and resting #4(19-year-old Salcedo) I guess.

However, it will be fun to have 3 forwards out there, including former TFC-player Jaoa Plata.

You could possibly watch the game and be unwittingly blessed with a nap anyhow. Win-Win!
