Well, I am extremely excited to hear that the Astros have signed Jeff Kent and an announcement will be coming anytime now.

    With a lineup of

    Biggio
    Kent
    Berkman
    Bagwell

It will rival any other teams 1-4 hitters. The only NL team that I think can match the Stros is probably the Cards with

    Rolen
    Pujols
    Edmonds
    Drew

Cards v. Stros for the Central will be awesome now. With DK's death, and if they lose Finley, the Cards are going to be hurting for pitching. Then again, they might just outscore everyone regardless.

    Indeed

Yes, Berkman had it. Several multitude games but later I thought he slept during year. This addition might keep him of awareness for record.

If you're talking leadoff through the cleanup positions, then this won't apply. If you're talking the top four hitters on a team, then the Phillies won't be too bad this year. Their 3-4-5-6 hitters should be as follows:

    Abreu
    Thome
    Burrell
    Lieberthal

If Rollins can up his average at the top of the lineup, the Phillies should score a lot of runs this year.

All of a sudden, the Rangers dismal season is overshadowed by the Mets winter acqusitions for a second straight year. Oh man. This help softens the blow of losing Fonzie.
