USA Today is projecting that the Courage will select Missy Gregg in the first round of Sunday's Global Draft. Here is the link to the article that was posted today: WUSA's Spirit likely to draft Wagner first I personally think that it would be a big mistake for the Courage to select another forward especially if either Portland midfielder Erin Misaki or Santa Clara midfielder Devvyn Hawkins are still available when it is time for the Courage to select.
After the first 2 or 3 picks it's all guesswork. I wouldn't read anything into any mock drafts or predictions.
Re: Missy Gregg I just saw that Scott French of Soccer America is predicting that Missy Gregg will be drafted in the first round by Philadelphia with their #7 pick. Wasn't Minna Mustonen the only D2 player who has been selected during the first round of the WUSA draft?
Missy Gregg Opts Out Of WUSA Draft Here's the link to an article just posted in the Philadelphia Forum by Charge!: Missy Gregg Opts Out Of WUSA Draft
So Much For Gregg Removing Herself From the Draft...... The biggest surprise of the draft for me was the New York Power managing to select Orlandos in the second round of the draft. Tne next biggest surprise was hearing the name Missy Gregg announced when the Washington Freedom used the 18th pick in the draft that they acquired from the Spirit in the Lori Lindsey trade.
Missy Gregg is no longer a Courage "issue" The Missy Gregg situation still confuses me. From the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A16033-2003Feb2.html
