Here is the remaining schedule below. Looks like no game this week. Every game is now on tape delay except the final game! This sucks!! The Storm-Blast game which was to be live this week is on next Friday. The Storm at California game on feb 15th will now air 1 week later on Feb.22nd. I didn't have time to compare the rest of the schedule but this majorly blows. This must have just happened.

Home Team listed first * Delayed broadcast

Fri. Feb. 8 Baltimore Blast Chicago Storm 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Feb. 15 Chicago Storm New Jersey Ironmen 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Feb. 22 California Cougars Chicago Storm 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Feb. 29 New Jersey Ironmen California Cougars 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Mar. 7 Detroit Ignition California Cougars 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Mar. 14 Baltimore Blast Philadelphia KiXX 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Mar. 21 Milwaukee Wave New Jersey Ironmen 8:00 p.m.*

Fri. Mar. 28 California Cougars Chicago Storm 8:00 p.m.

There are only 19 games now in total being televised. I wonder if the schedule was reduced so that the Final from Milwaukee could be televised as the contract calls for 20 games in FSC. I cannot begin to describe how upsetting this is to me. 2 of the next 3 weeks were going to be live Storm road games. This sucks so bad. I wonder if FSC was upset that the games were running longer than the 2 hour window that FSC wanted the games to fall into. Can you shed some light on this Kenn? Are you out there? Expect game to be chopped to pieces for the rest of the season like missing part of the 3rd quarter etc... Any tv is better than no tv but every game is on at least a 1 week delay with the Storm-Ironmen game airing on 2/15 on a 2 week delay. The one game that was bumped was the Wave-Sharks 3/9 game which was to air on 3/14. There was to be 9 games remaing on FSC with 5 to be live and the other 4 on a delay of less than 1 week and instead we get 8 games remaining on FSC with only 1 live and 7 on tape delay of at least 1 week with 1 game on a 2 week delay. Thank you MISL!!! Thank you FSC!!!!!

Fri. Feb. 8 Baltimore Blast Chicago Storm 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 2/1

Fri. Feb. 15 Chicago Storm New Jersey Ironmen 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 2/2

Fri. Feb. 22 California Cougars Chicago Storm 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 2/15

Fri. Feb. 29 New Jersey Ironmen California Cougars 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 2/21

Fri. Mar. 7 Detroit Ignition California Cougars 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 2/29

Fri. Mar. 14 Baltimore Blast Philadelphia KiXX 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 3/7

Fri. Mar. 21 Milwaukee Wave New Jersey Ironmen 8:00 p.m.* GAME PLAYED 3/16

Fri. Mar. 28 California Cougars Chicago Storm 8:00 p.m. LIVE FOR NOW

why would you chop quarters off?!? you chop the pregame and you chop halftime. there you have now entered the LESS than 2 hour window. I think they do that with the tape delayed games already.

The less desirable deal just got less desirable.

I see Orlando is no longer on the schedule. I wonder if this is a result of the halftime stunt Sham pulled last week, causing a bunch of dead air and the game to run very late.

This just shows that the MISL is a total joke.

I can't imagine the owners in the MISL approving moving all game to tape delayed. If this was a Steve Ryan decision then he should be immediately terminated.

As now a former MISL fan I am just shaking my head amazed. What were they thinking?

I think even Storm and Cougars fans would agree on this.

I totally agree. This seems like an easy way to save money to me. Obviously MISL was not bringing FSC any revenue and instead of deleting it all together its probably cheaper to show the games tape delayed then live so therefor the decision. Also sucks for us Cougar fans cause they moved the game back to 8:00pm Pacific time in order to show it live on TV when games would normally be at 7:15. Its gonna be a late night in Cali for no reason now.

    GO COUGARS!!!!

Steve Ryan id a friggin dumass.....

The owners were not informed of this, at least one owner whom I happen to talk to occasionally.
I was looking forward to several live Cougars road games.

What a piece of joke Ryan is.
Just like the retarded referees he keeps sending to officiate games.

Let's all write Ryan emails and tell him what we think of him.

    SRyan@misl.net

    What a joke.

Not that I am not already pissed enough at our injury series, losing streak and asshole referees. This really tops it of!

I just sent my e-mail to Steve Ryan. We all need to follow CougarsMartin's lead and send Stevie an e-mail or two now. I sent him a link to this thread so that on a slim chance he will read what we all think.

For the many many years of watching the MISL on tv dating back to the 80's as a kid portions of quaters would vanish. There would be like 10 minutes or so to go in the 3rd quarter at a commercial break then "poof" suddenly we are entering the 4th quarter. It will happen just watch and you will see.

    It happened already this year.
I believe it was the LaRaza at Baltimore game.
The end of the 2nd and beginning of 3rd quarters were missing I think.

At least Steve has upgraded the email address. When it was the NPSL the email address was npsl@aol.com and was off of his families aol account.

He'll read 'em too. He will also respond to you, if you are professional in your email. Don't expect a running dialogue either, he won't bounce back and forth with point-counterpoint. But if you email him in a nice way, he will respond.

However if you want a phone call back within 10-15 mins simply put down verbage to the effect that you are interested in buying a team.

Haha... in that case I better not expect a reply.
It's getting more and more obvious that the league and/or Ryan does not want the Cougars in the league any more and I made my displeasure known.

What makes you think this is a Steve Ryan decision and not an FSC decision?

I completly agree the California franchise gets no respect from the league and all the east coast teams. It was the same way with the Sacramento Franchise. They like the money but dont offer any support. I emailed Ryan also.

Point why before the last 2 years they had no problem putting on all star game before California was supposed to host it.

Good point and I have no answer to that.....

However, one would think that FSC is mostly interested in showing some real North American Soccer action.

Fer crying out loud, who in the world cares about the 17th re-run of a 1997 Premier League match?????????

ya this truly blows as I was going to go to a friends house to watch the game this friday. And then I was hoping that the pizza boxes would get on the tape delay broadcast for next week, but I guess thats off now.

I know in Futbol Mundial Dec/Jan issue there was a whole article bashing FSC for how instead of soccer all they do is try to be British and show the EPL LIVE and then matches from other season. Now don't get me wrong, I can watch the EPL and love Liverpool....but some French Ligue 1 games are good, La Liga is good, but more of all I love the FMF. I think Mexican soccer can be the most entertaining even if I don't understand half the stuff, but not only the pace of the action but the commentary is just so great....and its usally done by two guys whom sit in a damn studio not the damn stadium. So, basically FSC needs to stop screwing America.

Here is what I found out:
My father called Cougars owner Jim Rachels at home last night.
Mr. Rachels said "he had no knowledge of the schedule revision until yesterday when he heard from a fan that read it on big soccer and called him". He said "Fox Soccer Channel is very pleased with the MISL games, Fox was concerned about some early production issues but those have since been worked out." He said "Steve Ryan acted alone on the schedule revision and all the owners in the league are totally pissed off and that he had is whole day wasted on the phone speaking with angry owners all around the league."

    Here is the interesting point:
Mr. Rachels said "he was the one that put the TV deal together so he is totally appalled that a decision was made by Steve Ryan without his knowledge."

I probably broke some code here and my father may not allow me to post anymore but I thought this info should get out. Does this make me an insider? Always wanted to be an insider.

Not to change the subject when you guys are on a roll, but weren't you one of the guys that pitched a bitch about the Record writer using a figure of speech to call the Cougars bipolar?

While this situation is not optimal they still are on FSC. this isn't quite the end of the world. Quite frankly if they cut all the halftime crap its okay with me aside from Al & Kenn the other guys drive me up the wall and I just fast foward as I TIVO every game and don't get to watch live anyway.
