Bernie Lilavous comes out of the Coaches box and suits up for a short handed Cougars team in Detroit. I really liked this Detroit franchise and had hopes for them long term as I thought the size of the arena was right and the mix of players was very good...

Several names on both sides, some still playing in the MASL, and some others recently gone. Vahid Assadpour made some hay with the Comets for several years and shows up in this game. Sanaldo, a gypsy Goalkeeper for many years in several leagues starts for California. Danny Waltman, who we know in Tacoma these days gets the start in goal for the Ignition. Hewerton, Milwaukee wave hero is here, as is Ricardinho, current Dallas Sidekick. The most interesting name though by far, and with the most accomplished resume, is Jamar Beasley, brother of Damarcus Beasley who made hay on the USA Men's National team and MLS for many years.

Jamar has literally been all over the place, representing MLS, and several iterations of Indoor and other outdoor semi pro outfits. Also, playing for the USA under 20 in outdoor and USA Futsal for a spell. In this season, and the couple bookends, he is literally at this peak...

    Enjoy!
