Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) It's really a strong porter. The last batch had a lot of chocolate notes and some dried dark fruit flavors going on...the next batch has very little fruit, but a great chocolate nose.
Re: Name Poll: Plan B, Final Round There once was a man from Horsham To rhyme Horsham would be verbal abortion Oh never mind
Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) mmmm, porter...i hope that i am around when that comes out and i can get a taste. how big is your set-up btw?
Re: Name Poll: Plan B, Final Round There once was a man from Horsham Who should have been an abortion Ok went too far... Love YA
Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) I'll make JFIPA one of these days Right now just 5 gallons...my mashtun is big enough to do 10, I just don't have a big enough kettle right now. Once I get the coin scraped together I'm going to get a converted keg kettle. I also need a couple more kegs, and a cool place (~55-60°) to ferment during the warm months.
Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) Well yeah, I'll need the giant fridge for when it's done fermenting, to condition it. It's too cold to actually ferment the beer, though, unless the Red Lion Diner keeps its food at the aforementioned 55 to 60 degrees
Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) We got 4 walk ins at various temperatures couldn't tell you what they are set at though.
Re: Name Poll: Plan B, Final Round There once was a man from Horsham Whose mom tried to have an abortion But she decided instead (after causing the Frankenstein head) That she didn't like all the forcin'
Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) how about getting a 55 gallon drum? temp is my issue. i don't have anywhere that really stays within 20 degrees. well my g/f won't let me keep the fermenting beer anywhere that is more stable (she's afraid it will get knocked over or smell) i'm working on the nerve to just do it though.
Re: State Aid Thrills (2.1 Inquirer) If everyone wants to chip in, I could get an amazing 20-gallon system for about $8000
Well I have a basement that stays pretty cool...... But it would require my whole house to be done. Which it probably will never be.
Re: 1.31.08 - Chester (Philly) Press Conference Recap 1. Philly suburb county 2. Wannabe-Philly suburb county 3. Kentucky with beach resorts
Re: 1.31.08 - Chester (Philly) Press Conference Recap I didn't realize that a question over hightened security in a parking lot would spark hostility. If it did offend people I apologize. I'm not sure on the exact location of the stadium, so please inform me, instead of having a go at me. I think it's hard to say that Chester isn't the worst area in the city of Philadelphia, and that increased security wouldn't be welcomed. I wasn't trying to insult Chester and the city of Philadelphia, but apparently I did. What's wrong with Kentucky with Beaches and tax free shopping? You act like you don't come down here to get some of your Christmas gifts. As for the spelling of my sn, it's an inside joke, in English class freshman year we had a discussion in class, on the spelling of Delawarean/Delawareian/Delawarian/etc. , which eventually got a kid thrown out of the class. So, yes I know that my name is spelled wrong.
Re: 1.31.08 - Chester (Philly) Press Conference Recap We Delawhereites prefer the 3 Lower Counties of the Commonwealth. But, seriously DeSOB, welcome. Get used to people having a go, and feel free to have a go at others, just make you're sure who you are taking the piss out of first.
Re: 1.31.08 - Chester (Philly) Press Conference Recap Alright then, for a second I thought I was going to have to support DC United. But seriously, what will be the situation with parking, a typical wired fence and a security booth?
Re: 1.31.08 - Chester (Philly) Press Conference Recap I think you might see parking garages to minimize the footprint of the the developed space used for this project and some parking a mile or so away. Fully staffed with security and fenced like Camden I would imagine.
Re: 1.31.08 - Chester (Philly) Press Conference Recap And that's nothing compared to the security that will be required inside the stadium for visiting New England fans. I'm picturing something along the lines of a plexi-glass dome... lord knows it wouldn't dampen their thunderous cheering.
